Here's a sneak peek at what you're going to hear in today's episode. We have the ability to choose to step outside of the box that we're currently being put in as mass consciousness and say but what if I did it differently? What if I allowed myself to feel that emotion? What if I talked to myself with love? What if I remembered that my mindset and my words are important and I feel that emotion? What if I talked to myself with love? What if I remembered that my mindset and my words are important and I acted that way? What if I really claimed the fact that I am a powerful being? Before we dive into today's episode, I do want to let you all know that this is the last week to enroll in our online four-month Soul Rising Shamanic Reiki program.

Speaker 1:

Welcome. Welcome to another amazing conversation. I'm joined today by Chantel Ochoa, our wonderful moon rising mystic, as we talk about claiming your power to heal. I know this is a conversation that we are both really passionate about and we were talking before we hit the record button that we both have a lot of experience in this area and a lot of passion and compassion for the journey that it is to being able to claim your power to heal and step into that empowered state. So welcome, chantel, and thanks for joining me for today's conversation.

Speaker 2:

Well, thank you, and this is definitely a conversation I'd love to have and very passionate about for myself and for others and to really help people walk the path of their own healing and to reclaim their power within the health industry and their health and what that looks like for them.

Speaker 1:

And you know, I think it's such a timely conversation to have right now because there is so much there's so much in every realm of life about what we're allowed to say and how we're allowed to speak up and speak up for ourselves, and I think it's a really beautiful conversation to have to know that there is a space where you can step up and speak up for yourself and claim your power to heal, and do that in a really sacred and compassionate way. And so I'd love to maybe start today's conversation by hearing from you, Chantel, what you mean when you say claiming your power to heal. Why are we having this conversation?

Speaker 2:

Claiming our power within our own health is recognizing where we are Like okay, so if you get sick, you have a diagnosis, something's coming forward right, and we go to the doctor and then the doctor diagnoses you, there's a prognosis, and we've been taught to just say okay, what are you giving me? Take the pills, take the infusions, do whatever it is that the doctor is prescribing to you. But in a lot of ways that isn't really good. It's a lot of poison. You know, I'm going to say it's a lot of poison, a lot of stuff that we're taking in that's not natural and organic to our body. And then there's all these other ways that we can look at health and other ways we can look at healing ourselves through homeopathy, through organic ways, all these different elements that we can do with oils and energy work and all this stuff. And when we just look at what the doctor has to offer us, we are limiting so much of what we can take in and go research and go do. And so I've learned in my own journey that you have to claim your power, you have to speak up, you have to let your doctor know. This is what I feel, this is what I found. You know, bring to the table your own research, your own awareness and knowledge. Most of the time they're going to be like, no, they're going to push back because they have their protocol and they have their training. But at the same time, they don't always look at us as a whole being, as a functional being, which is where functional medicine comes in, which is what I'm really. Those are my doctors.

Speaker 2:

I go to functional medicine doctors because when I was going through my healing journey, they weren't taking the whole body, they only wanted to see the one part, their part. You know, like the neurologist, he only wanted to look at the brain or who, whatever it is. And so when I was bringing diet to the table or I was bringing um, you know, vitamin D or this or that other treatment, he didn't want to hear any of it and he told me you can go do that on your own. And literally it was like okay, well, I'm going to go do that on my own and it worked out for me. And so it's definitely something that I know from personal experience that we can be in our power of health and wellness.

Speaker 2:

And it doesn't mean there's not a place for doctors, obviously, but it means that there needs to be this open communication between the patient and the doctor and the doctor needs to be open to what the patient has to say and the doctor needs to be open to what the patient has to say and listen to them, as they're listening to their body and it's not just a one-sided conversation, which I think a lot of people get stuck in. They feel like it's a one-sided conversation. They're the professional and we just need to listen to that, and it doesn't always work that way.

Speaker 1:

And it's really interesting when we can take this conversation and even zoom back a little bit further from even just in the general sphere of what we do for our health.

Speaker 1:

You were talking about the difference between taking a medicine and doing energy work and, like you were saying, there's a place for both. There's a time and a place for both, and you and I both have experience in that. But what I find really interesting about the current flow of mass consciousness when it comes to their healthcare is it is this instinct of wanting to take the pill or put on the bandaid or have the quick fix because there's so much fear. Right, we have so much fear about our health or what happens when we're not healthy, or about our own choices. Right, there's such a lack of trust in ourselves when it comes to knowing what our body needs, knowing what our health needs, knowing what our energy needs, and when that happens, this process of immediately saying you know what, it would be so much easier if I could just take a pill. To me is really a metaphor and an allegory for how much we are used to denying ourselves when it comes to just living life. Right, that's one of the first things that we're taught when we're younger is that, oh, that instinct that's not right. This thing that you want, you can't have. That, this thing that you think you need, you're actually wrong. And so we're taught from a very young age that our instincts, our desires, our intuition is incorrect, and that carries over into adulthood. And I think one of the main places that we see it is in this area of health and wellbeing, because suddenly we've put ourselves in a place where there are people who quote unquote know more than we do, who feel like they have a more holistic perspective of our body and our health, even though we are the only ones in our exact situation. And that's part of why I am such a big advocate for the holistic health movement. And for those who listen to the show, they know that I'm in school to become a homeopathic physician and this idea of looking at the entire person, like you said, as a functional being.

Speaker 1:

But when I think about the phrase claiming your power to heal, I really think about going back to that very first assumption that we're taught that we are wrong, that there's something about us that is wrong, that's not enough, that's not valuable, and so we grow up really second guessing our own instincts and our own intuition, when, in fact, our body has so much wisdom, our intuition has so much wisdom, and if we allow ourselves to step into a space where those voices and those instincts can be heard, then we can step into a space where those voices and those instincts can be heard. Then we can step into a space where we truly do claim our power to heal, because until we address that root of fear, we're never going to get anywhere. And I think that's a brilliant place to start this conversation is that question of what is it that we're actually afraid of when it comes to our health, whether we're talking about medical healthcare in a doctor's office or we're talking about energetic healthcare, when it comes to your spiritual journey, there are so many times where I see a community member say, oh well, I'm really afraid of my spiritual gifts, or I was taught that they're not a good thing. And it's that same thing that we see on the medical side of this fear of ourselves, this fear of our own instincts and our own gifts and our own knowing. And when we peel that away and we really look at it, asking ourselves what is it that we're really afraid of? What's at the core of that and how can we work to heal that and release that, so that you can realize that, no, your intuition actually is correct.

Speaker 1:

And I remember the moment that this kind of hit home for me in my own health journey. I had all kinds of health issues when I was growing up, but the one that's coming to mind at the moment is I had fairly severe eating disorders when I was younger. It's pretty standard in the ballet community and I just I fit right in with it and I remember at the time I also had PCOS and my adrenals were failing and my thyroid was failing and basically all of my organs were shutting down because I wasn't taking care of my body and I was in a position where that was supported. That was something that was praised. Being thinner was more important than being healthy, and I think a lot of people can relate to some kind of storyline like that.

Speaker 1:

And I remember going to a doctor's office and he told me that I was overweight and I needed to exercise more, when I was already dancing 60 hours a week and severely underweight, and it was at that point where I walked out of the doctor's office and he must have been the seventh doctor that I saw, nobody was able to help me. They were all looking at me in like you were saying parts and pieces of oh, this ovary is not working, this thyroid is not working, this pituitary gland is failing, but they were never looking at the whole thing of what's happening with her as a person. And I remember I walked out of that doctor's office and I was like I can't do it. I cannot do this anymore. There has to be another way. And that's when I started looking at the chakras and traditional Chinese medicine and its connection to trauma and finding this holistic perspective.

Speaker 1:

But there was a moment in there where I was like I would rather be overweight quote unquote and healthy and not stressed and not scared and in peace. I would rather be peaceful and enjoy my life and be unhealthy from some doctor's perspective than keep doing this, because I am literally literally killing myself trying to do these things that the doctors are telling me. And from that moment forward, that's when I discovered the intuitive eating movement right and that I've never looked back. There has never been a moment where I have felt less healthy because I listened to my intuition. On the contrary, I have felt so much more myself.

Speaker 1:

And as soon as I did that, as soon as I started listening to my intuition, my ovaries healed themselves, my adrenals came back online, my thyroid healed itself. I don't take any medication. I don't monitor what I eat, I don't monitor my thyroid levels, because I'm completely healthy, all because I decided in that moment I would rather be peaceful, I would rather know that my health is in my hands than trying to kill myself, to do these things that other people say I quote unquote should be doing, and I think that's something that a lot of people can relate to. Is this feeling of I just want peace, I just want to be safe, I want to feel safe. I think that's what we're all looking for, and that question of claiming your power to heal really does come from that question of are you willing to make yourself feel safe rather than looking for it from all of these external sources?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's a great power story. Sources. Yeah, that's a great power story. Mine's very similar, but yours was at a because you were only like what?

Speaker 1:

17? I started having health issues when I was 13 and I finally just gave up and listened to my intuition when I was 18, turning 19.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so that's amazing because you learned that at an age that's now going to send you on a trajectory throughout your life of having and maintaining and calling your power back to your health and everything. And I know, when I was going through mine it definitely was that of um, listening to the doctor, being scared by what they had to say and and, and then realizing in myself the moment, like the symptoms subsided, I was like, okay, I was in my power. It was like I something shifted, my vision was clear and I was like like physically and emotionally and spiritually, it's like the vision cleared. And once that happened, I was on a hunt and when I started looking up, and that's when Reiki came in and everything, but it was that holistic health. And when I started looking up, and that's when Reiki came in and everything, but it was that holistic health. And what I've realized and it's funny because we were just having this conversation here at home yesterday about the container, in which the energetic container I find is when you have a solid energy container, that is what really helps your physical body, because then it's like that energy is going to come in and it's almost like this buffer zone that keeps your physical body healthy. But it's the mindset, it's the listening to your intuition, it's knowing.

Speaker 2:

When you hear like drink water, or hey, go take vitamin D. Like for me, if I'm not taking vitamin D on a regular basis, my will start on this, repeat vitamin d, vitamin d, vitamin d. And I'm like, okay, and the moment I go and take it, because that is something that my body is lacking and producing, then I feel that shift in myself, you know. But it doesn't mean it's, it's like it's this full-blown symptom. It's just a slight little voice that comes in, and I just have learned to tune into that voice so that I know, okay, I need to go do this, or I need to do that, or you've eaten too many carbs and that's inflammatory to my body. And so I've just really learned to listen to what my body has to say. And then, with that, I've created this really strong energetic container that's going to provide the healing that I need on that level and the frequencies and everything, so that if I'm solid there, I don't fluctuate like I would have prior to, you know. And so I've never been like a sickly person or anything like that.

Speaker 2:

But when it hit, when the autoimmune hit, the symptoms came in hard and heavy and then once I like, and I will say that I've healed myself from that, you know, from these non curable diseases that we're all told about. I don't believe in that. And when clients come to me and they say that, I tell, I tell them all the time do not claim that, do not own that. Know that you can cure yourself. Our body is able to heal and cure itself if we give it the right environment, the right food, the right mindset, the right emotions, the right everything right. It's really bringing us into center and into balance. And when we can do that, that's when the health shows up. That's when we are really healing ourself.

Speaker 2:

And, like you're saying, you're not having to go and regulate everything and think about everything you know.

Speaker 2:

Like me, it's been five years for me now.

Speaker 2:

I don't even think about any of that.

Speaker 2:

Like I don't wake up, like, oh my gosh, I feel like this, right, there's none of that. I wake up, I feel great and if I have anything, I just bring my awareness to that. Why am I feeling this? What's in my life? And a lot of times it's like going to be stress induced or something you know. And so when you can see that in your patterns, then you can really step back and say, maybe I just need to take a moment for myself, I need to take a few breaths, I need to just take a time out, I need to, whatever it is, and your body comes back into alignment. It's when we sit in that thought of we're sick and we have a disease and this, then our body's gonna respond to that thought. It's gonna make sure that, yeah, you are sick, you are diseased, you need to stay in bed, and the body will respond that way, versus when you align to health and wellness, your body's gonna respond to that too. It just takes time and training to do it. We all can.

Speaker 1:

And this is where we go back to that energetic basis for everything in this world. Because whether we're looking at quantum physics and we're saying, oh, we have the atom with its electrons and protons, which are just energetic waves, or we're looking at it from a spiritual perspective and saying that we have that key or that chi, or vital force, or life force, or prana, or whatever you want to call it, there is this universal understanding that everything in this world is energetically based. And so, if we're having a physical dis-ease, what's happening in your energy? What's underneath that? And I think about autoimmune a lot with this, because autoimmune disease is literally your body attacking itself, which goes back to what we were saying just a little bit ago about how one of the very first things that we learn in life is how to deny ourselves, how to fight our own instincts, how to fight our own intuition. And so what is an autoimmune disease other than an external representation of the fact that you are internally fighting with yourself, you are not allowing yourself to be in that flow with life force? And so we look at why. What is it that's holding us back from trusting, from being able to let go of control, from being able to allow life to flow through us, instead of feeling like we have to micromanage every little thing and every part of it. Where are the places that you are pushing against yourself and how can we look at that physical representation as a mirror of that internal dysfunction? And it's one of my favorite things that we teach in Soul Rising we have a metaphysical anatomy and physiology class that I actually just recorded and it was a great reminder of how symbolic our body actually is, and what I love about it is that we're finally getting to a place in science where we can kind of back this up with scientific experiments, right. So there have been a lot of studies. One of my favorites right now is there was a study that showed a really high correlation between women who had experienced loss or divorce and women who had breast cancer.

Speaker 1:

And if we were looking at that from a spiritual perspective, we would say that makes total sense, because grief is very much a heart chakra, ailment, and heart chakras connected to our immune system and our lungs and all of our breast tissues. And so it makes sense that if we're not acknowledging and accepting and working through this grief, that that's going to manifest physically because it is an energy right. All emotions are is just energy in motion, and if we're not allowing that energy to move, if we're not feeling the emotion, we're causing that energy to stay stuck. And if it's going to stay stuck, then that means that energy is constantly going to be hitting up against it and causing this blockage which is going to lead to a physical disease or a physical diseased state, whether that's a full blown autoimmune disease or that's chronic headaches or warts on your left foot or whatever. It is Our body. If we aren't listening to our energy and we're not listening to our emotions, our body is going to speak for us. And so we do come into this place, especially with as high of an incidence of chronic disease as we're seeing currently, where we live in a world that we can see how much we're fighting ourselves all the time because it becomes normal. It becomes natural. It's just this understood. I remember I was talking with my brother the other day and he was saying something about how it just feels inevitable that he's going to get cancer and I was like why, why, why, why does that feel inevitable? What's the story there? And why do we live in a society where that is the norm, instead of understanding that that mindset could very well be the thing that's going to lead to him getting cancer.

Speaker 1:

And this is where I love to pull in Dr Masaru Emoto's work with water and looking at how he's. I will leave a link in the show notes for this. He wrote this amazing book. He was this Japanese researcher who took water and froze it and took a special kind of microscope that allowed him to see the crystalline structure that the water formed when he froze it. And what he did is he said different words to the water, he played music, he wrote words on a piece of paper and stuck it under the petri dish. He did all these experiments with water, and what he did was, after he said a word or he gave a piece of music to the water, et cetera, he froze it and he looked at the crystalline structure that the water made, and he found that loving, kind, joyful words and music actually created these beautiful symmetrical structures in the water, whereas things like hate or fraud or failure or heavy metal music or things like this, the water didn't form a crystal at all, and what I love about this is that our body is more than 75% water, and so, if one word can have that much of an impact on a little petri dish of water, and we have a slur of thoughts constantly moving through our energetic system every single moment of the day.

Speaker 1:

Think about the actual impact that those thoughts, those mindsets, those beliefs are having, regardless of your organs and everything else, but simply on the water that's in your body. That's a huge impact, and so, no matter what right, whether we take curing an autoimmune disease out of the equation or healing a failed organ or whatever it is, if we take all of that away, we know that even just on the basic level of your thoughts impact the structure of the water in your body. That's enough for us to go. You know what it is important. The way that I think is important, the way that I talk to myself, is important. Healing these emotions that I think are solved just because I'm shoving them down. It's important for me to let that energy move and process, because otherwise it's going to be reflected in this physical reality and that's not me saying that to cause fear, right? This isn't a fear-based conversation. That's the opposite of the point of this conversation. It's to empower us to understand that we have the opportunity, we have the ability to give loving words to that water instead of hateful words.

Speaker 1:

We have the ability to choose to step outside of the box that we're currently being put in as mass consciousness and say but what if I did it differently? What if I allowed myself to feel that emotion? What if I talked to myself with love? What if I remembered that my mindset and my words are important and I acted that way? What if I really claimed the fact that I am a powerful being?

Speaker 1:

Right, even if, again, we're just looking at the power that your words has on the crystalline structure of water, that's amazing. The fact that your words can change the crystal in a petri dish of water, that's it just a word. That's amazing. And that's just one teeny, tiny facet of who we are and what we can do as human beings. And so that alone, if we can step into that mindset of I am a powerful being, I literally have the ability to change the way that water freezes with my words. That's amazing. And if we can step into that, even just one little toe into that mindset, it can create this huge shift in how we perceive our health and wellbeing because suddenly, instead of giving our power away, we're coming back to that understanding that, no, I can choose for myself. I can choose differently. I can choose what I want to do, what my body's calling me to do, what my intuition is leading me towards, and I can trust that that's going to have a positive impact.

Speaker 2:

It's going to like when you're speaking of words. It's the vibration in which we're putting into the water and, you know, it's also knowing that our language, our words, is like casting spells. So when we are speaking in a certain vibration, that's a low frequency, our body's going to respond to that low frequency and that's a lot of why. The reason why then it's like okay, so we are getting sick because we have low worth, low thoughts of ourself, we don't have the self-confidence you know all these things, and when that happens is that our body literally shifts down. So then that's a lot of times when that disease and illness and sickness and everything can start to manifest within the body, because it's going to connect to a memory, a trauma, something, an energy that has been stored in our chakra system, that has been stored throughout our body, and that's why we're receiving all these different elements and our body is speaking to us because it wants to be lifted. It knows that this is not my natural frequency. We need to raise ourself up to the element in which we truly are and if that is connecting to the earth and fire and water and wind and all of that and you know, animals and stuff we can really shift an entire physical environment just by what we surround ourself with, how we speak to ourself, how we love ourself, and when we can do that. You know it's interesting with your brother because the one thingself and when we can do that, you know it's interesting with your brother because the one thing I was getting to is there are times and this is where free will comes in that we contract certain things in our life. You know soul contracts and agreements we come in with. But we also have, like, if he's receiving that knowing before cancer even shows up, that means he actually has an opportunity to help prevent cancer from showing up by how he responds to his environment, his thoughts, past traumas and all of that. And just listening to that, that was definitely like a little download of like, yeah, no, he has that opportunity right now. The free will is right here, right now to make a different choice for himself.

Speaker 2:

Because when you look at, like you were saying, disease is dis-ease, cancer is can't serve, you know, and then auto immune as you're fighting yourself, when we can literally look at language and how it's broken down and what it means, that puts a whole different perspective on it and that does allow us to be empowered. And I watched a video recently actually about cancer. So tumors, that the sack, the tumor itself that's collecting, that has all the cancer cells in it, is our body's way of protecting us, protecting us from the cancer spreading through our body. And then we go poke it and then that breaks the barrier and that spreads cancer. And when I heard that I thought that is so powerful that even that little bit of knowledge isn't even out there in the mainstream. And I don't have a history of cancer and family or anything like that. But just hearing that to me brought in a whole different level of awareness of where we are. And it's not again, you know, precursor of saying it doesn't mean don't have your doctor and don't go do what you need to do. But when you have these nuggets of awareness and knowledge of how the body works, you know, when we go into meditation, you're working in that quantum field and you can visually see, right, if you know how in the body, even the most like basics of the anatomy of the body, you get to bring healing to that because you are projecting that Reiki energy into, like you have digestion issues and you're, you know, visualizing your intestines and your stomach and everything. And then you're just Reiki in that, even though you're putting your hands on yourself, but you go into that distance healing. There's so much power in that because you can really work within that, that field, that quantum field of healing and timeline, jump, so to speak, into having a healthy body. And what does that look like? And bring that into, like your sleep and all these different things.

Speaker 2:

And so when you eat food, food is either poison or it's medicine and you decide by what it is that you eat. And when you are like literally feeding yourself, is this going to heal me or is this going to kill me? So if you're eating a bunch of sugar, if you're, you know, if you're eating a bunch of donuts and cakes and all these things that are processed and everything tune into your body, is it really going to help you or is it going to hurt you? And for me, I've learned, especially through food, not to sit and just eat all of that kind of junk food, because it's not going to help me. It does. It just causes inflammation. My body speaks to me extremely fast when it's like, nope, that wasn't good, because the inflammation will come through and then you feel achy in the joints and achy in the muscles and all these things, and it is literally simply just by eating.

Speaker 2:

So it's really recognizing all the different things in our life and the choices that we make and being dedicated to our health. And so for me, when I was going through my journey, my doctor, what the power words for me were if you want to see and walk, you're going to come see me and I was like no, because what you're offering me is not in alignment with my body, it's not in alignment with my thoughts. Like I had so many red flags. Instantly it was like boom, boom, boom, boom. And I just was not there.

Speaker 2:

And so I went on a hunt, completely changed my entire life. Even my brother was asking my husband the other day he goes where did all this come from? This is not who she was, you know. And he was explaining to him like this big conversation of there was just this moment of realization that I had to step into my own power and claim my health and claim myself and healing and moving through grief and everything, because grief, like you're saying, is a major, major impact on the physical body and it does store up in the heart and the chest and the lungs and it weighs you down.

Speaker 2:

And then you know our emotions are sadness and despair and all these things and it's like that's not a way to live. You have your moment of your time of grief, absolutely. I am a big advocate on grief, but there's a time when we have to learn to heal through that. So we aren't acting, we aren't becoming sick, we aren't failing in our own mission. I don't mean fail, but it is. You know, we have a mission here on earth and ourself we have to do that as well. So it's really coming back to who we are being a whole person, a whole spirit, a whole self and really bringing that power back.

Speaker 1:

And recognizing that it is that switch between feeling like our health and wellbeing, on whatever level. It is right, because we have our physical health, our energetic health, our emotional health, our mental health. We have all these different levels and layers to our well-being, but recognizing that when we step into that space, everything that we do becomes an opportunity instead of a burden. And so, when we look at the food we eat, it's an opportunity to fuel our body. When we look at healing a limiting belief, it's an opportunity to expand those limiting beliefs that are holding us back and keeping us constricted. We have an opportunity to release those and move forward. And so, suddenly, those moments where you feel triggered, or those moments where you feel like maybe you messed up, or those moments where you feel triggered, or those moments where you feel like maybe you messed up, or those moments where you can feel that fear of this doctor is telling me to do one thing, but my intuition is telling me to do another, it becomes an opportunity Instead of a moment of fear and anxiety. And what if I make the wrong choice? And what if I do the wrong thing? It becomes what would happen if I listened to myself, if I untied those knots that I have wrapped around my being just a little bit, so that I could take a little bit of a deeper breath and say what is it that I need? What's calling me in this moment, and knowing that it's never going to be a this is the answer for the rest of your life kind of answer and I think that is one of the biggest hurdles for people is switching their mindset from one of if I take this pill, it will help me for the rest of my life. If I have this surgery, I will be healed for the rest of my life. If I just don't feel this feeling, then it doesn't have to impact me. If I get perfect grades, do a perfect job, if I get the promotion, if I become a partner at the law firm, whatever it is, then I'll be set for life. If I make X amount of money, I'll be set for life.

Speaker 1:

And it's again going back to that understanding that as a society we're so future minded. We feel like we have to find the solution that's going to last us forever because, again, we are so afraid of ourselves and of the future. And if we can step back into that understanding that the future doesn't exist, everything is happening now, it's all right now and there isn't going to be an answer that's going to serve you for the rest of your life, because, guess what? You're not going to be who you are now for the rest of your life. You as a person, as a being, are constantly evolving and changing and shifting, and what you need from one moment to the next, from one day to the next, is going to shift and change. And that's again part of where we go back to putting ourselves in this box of denying ourselves. When we try and find the solution that lasts us a lifetime, we are denying our inherent nature as constantly evolving and growing and transforming beings. We are not meant to be static. We are not meant to reach one part of our life and feel like we've arrived, we're done. Healing journey, complete check mark, we're good. And it's so hard because we want to right.

Speaker 1:

Our minds. Love that Our minds love the idea of a container, of you're only going to suffer for this long, and then you'll find the answer and you'll be done. And what I wish? If there's one takeaway that we could get from today's conversation, it's like I would love for us to understand that that fear, that anxiety, that wanting there to be a timeline, a box, something that you can fit into, a protocol that you can do, no matter what level of your health it's on. All of that comes from our mind, and our minds are this incredibly useful tool that is here to help us solve problems. It's here to help us put all the puzzle pieces in place, but we have, as a society, overtaxed the mind. We expect too much of our minds. We expect it to have the answers, we expect it to know what to do, we expect it to be able to find the answer that's going to serve us a lifetime and we expect it to be able to keep us safe all the time. And that's not what the mind was meant to do. The mind was meant to take the information that we receive from our soul, from the divine, from our spirit team, and put it into action. Our mind is meant to be action oriented.

Speaker 1:

I tell our students all the time that our mind is like an Excel spreadsheet. It can take the information that it gets from the intuition and put it in all the charts, and it has a couple functions it can do, it can add things together, it can take the average, it can make a projection of what it might look like in the future. But it was never meant to make new information. It was never meant to be the thing that put new information in each of the cells. That is supposed to come from our intuition comes next, is supposed to come from our intuition, and our intuition is not afraid of a maybe. Our intuition isn't afraid of the gray space. Our intuition isn't afraid of the future because it's not afraid of anything, because it is the divine within us, and that divine spark within us knows that at the core of who we are, at the core of everything, we are okay, we are healed, we are constantly flowing and moving. And if we can come back to that understanding, if we can step beyond our mind for just a minute and sink back down into that truth of who we are, that we are life force, we are divine, we are energy and if we let that energy flow, that's where healing and health occurs. It doesn't occur in.

Speaker 1:

Here's the system that I'm going to use for the rest of my life. Here's the protocol that I'm going to follow. Here's the exact medicine at the exact dosage that I'm going to take. It doesn't work that way, because those are all structures that we're putting around our soul, and our soul, our intuition, our being was never meant to be boxed in, it was never meant to be limited, and yet that's what we do every day of our life. And so if we can start, in whatever little, small way it is because it takes baby steps but if we can start breaking down those barriers, one at a time, if we can start making ourselves limitless one barrier, one boundary at a time, we're going to start to see the places and spaces that we can expand back into our truth. And so that might be as simple as choosing to have something different for breakfast one day, or wearing the shirt that you want to wear instead of the one that you feel like you should wear. It doesn't have to be this huge big thing.

Speaker 1:

Don't listen to what your doctor's telling you to do. Right, that's not what we're saying, but it's this idea of looking at where are you limiting yourself? Where are you denying yourself? Where are you keeping yourself small? And if you allow the mind to go quiet for a minute and just listen to your intuition, just listen for that little voice inside of you, what's it telling you to do instead? What's the alternative. And then it simply becomes this question of which one is more valuable to you Staying small, staying small or being free and being expansive? And I think this is one of the most empowering parts of our healing journey is.

Speaker 1:

There is no right answer. You can choose to stay small. You can choose to stick with your limiting beliefs. You can choose to continue going to the doctor and doing the protocols and doing the things If you truly feel like that is in your greatest and highest interest. You have free will. There is no wrong answer. Chantel and I are on this call telling you you have to be doing X, y, z. That's not it at all. It's. You have your choice. You have the ability to choose whatever you want to do. And suddenly that becomes. It takes so much pressure off because there's not a right decision, there's not a wrong decision. There's simply the decision that you make and it is what it is.

Speaker 1:

And I had a teabag the other day. You know how some teabags have those little quotes on them. I had a teabag the other day that says whatever will be is and I was like it's so corny. And yet it's true, because whatever choice you make, that's the choice you're going to make and that's it. That's as simple as life is. You make that choice and that's the choice you've made, and it's okay.

Speaker 1:

And so, when it comes to our healing, when it comes to claiming our power to heal, we have a choice.

Speaker 1:

We can choose to be self-empowered and to listen to our intuition and to choose from that deeper place, or we can choose to stay empowered by others and empowered by the system, and empowered by protocols, and give our mind something to chew on.

Speaker 1:

And that, at the end of the day, is the choice that we're all faced with. Which one do you want to lead? With your mind or your intuition, your mind or your heart? And there's not a right answer. We all have an answer that we think is right for us, but there's not a universally right answer, because we have free will. And so you get to come into this place where you literally are just weighing which one matters more to you your mind's opinion or your intuition's opinion, your mind's thought or your intuition's feeling? Which one matters more to you? And then you make a choice from that place and suddenly it takes all of the pressure off, because you're not trying to figure out whose life hangs in the balance of this decision. It's simply. Here's the decision, in this present moment which aspect of your being, which level of consciousness do you want to make that decision from? And that's it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that is a. It does sound complicated, like when you want, when you're thinking big, big decisions, big moments in life, and I get that, but it really is aligning to the level of consciousness that you're coming from and you know the point that you were making with, like it's your choices what the choice you make today may not be the same choice you want to make tomorrow, because tomorrow you are going to be a different version of yourself. Every day we are a different version of ourself. Every decision we make, every experience we have, we are constantly evolving and changing, whether it's for the higher consciousness or lower conscious. It's a balance between the two, and so we get to balance between the two and so we get to choose between those two. And it is the little steps, the baby steps, is the decision of. You know, I'm going to walk on the grass before I get into my car to go to work, or I'm going to go, you know, sit and listen to the birds, or I'm just going to have a moment. Or choosing the color of the day. You know, how do I want to align with the color that I'm wearing, or the outfit that I'm wearing, because that in itself is speaking volumes of how you want to show up and you know how. One, the energy you're putting out and two, how people are going to see you, you know. And so the energy that we work with every single day is in alignment with how we feel, how we think and what we're putting forward, and so it's just the choice of how do I want that to look, how do I want to feel, how do I want you know my thoughts to come through, because when you're in this higher consciousness of thoughts and feelings and everything, that flow is going to happen for you and it's going to bring in opportunities that are going to that may not be available to you. If you, and it's going to bring in opportunities that are going to that may not be available to you. If you're thinking in the more lower density of consciousness, you know, and so having opportunities of where, maybe, instead of going and having you know Starbucks or something, you go and you have a juice or a smoothie or you choose differently, and then maybe going to that shop is going to introduce you to a person you would never have met if you were in the Starbucks drive-thru, you know. And so then there's this whole thing that ends up happening where people start coming in alignment with you and that person now gave you a negative information that you might now want to go research on your health or whatever it is. You might now want to go research on your health or whatever it is, and so either you are going to be the one of expansive energy and wisdom to somebody else or they are going to be it for you, because you know we're learning from each other all the time.

Speaker 2:

I have a client right now that, um, she just I just started working with her and she, um, she was diagnosed with MS and she said, until she met me, she did had no hope. She had no hope because it was your doctor's prognosis, this is what MS looks like. And so she said, after our first conversation and I didn't talk to her for like two more weeks after that and she goes. You don't know the amount of hope and change I've already created. Like in that two weeks she already started changing her diet, tried to change in her mindset. She is up and dancing, she's moving her body. She just tuned to level one this weekend and I'm like, wow, you know.

Speaker 2:

But because she all the information she was being fed was negative and that she had no hope of anything.

Speaker 2:

And it was like no, you do have hope, there is a chance, get up and move and do the things.

Speaker 2:

What do you intuitively feel? And she was like I don't feel like this needs to take me out and it doesn't, so don't let it. And so she, literally, in those two weeks, empowered herself to be able to stand up, to know that she can heal herself. She can, she can heal herself, she can move forward in this. And it was it's just been very interesting conversations and all these aha moments with her, and yeah, and then now she's working on herself, she's working on healing with Reiki, and she didn't even know what Reiki was. She didn't even know anything. And now she's like she, just because she chose to go where I was that day actually it was, she went to um, she went to service, and I don't typically go to church at the spiritual center, but I went that day to prone to talk about soul rising, because Christine was coming in and we were having our workshops.

Speaker 2:

And that day I went and my intuition, as I was preparing, told me tell your story. And I was like okay, so I told my story, she heard it. And then we she came to me and she goes we need to talk and we need to meet, and so we did, and now her whole life has shifted because there was a message that she needed to hear. Because she came, I came and we were in a different environment than I ever am, and it's just that's what I mean. Those opportunities start to align and open you up, because you think different and you get out of that box.

Speaker 1:

And that's the beauty of this conversation is that it all just comes down to your choice. And so my invitation to you, as you're listening to this and as you're reflecting on this and you're thinking about you know, yes, I do want to feel empowered, I do want to claim my power, I do want to heal right. You wouldn't be listening to this this late in the conversation if you didn't feel that way. And so, knowing that there is that pull, that motivation, that drive, that's all you need to start this process, and it comes down to simply boiling it down to each and every little choice. Instead of looking at your whole day, or your whole month, or your whole year, or all of your life or all of your health or whatever it is, just simply look at the choice that's in front of you Do I want a coffee? Do I want tea? And looking at when you step into a space where you have a choice. You can start this process by simply asking what would my mind choose and what would my intuition choose? Just look at both of them and then decide which one is calling me more, and it's such a simple way to start noticing the places that you subconsciously right Not intentionally, but where you subconsciously pull yourself off track because we go on autopilot and we listen to our mind and our mind has that 95% of it that is subconscious, that's ruled by our limiting beliefs and those parts of ourselves where we have boxed ourselves in. And when we can look at the two and we can say, oh, I see, my mind would just want me to have coffee, because that's what I always do. It's easy, it gives me that quick energy, but it doesn't always make me feel good. And my intuition is saying what if we had tea instead? And then you, as the conscious observer of each, get to choose which one's calling you more, and you can choose to have the coffee and it'll taste good and it'll give you that energy boost. Or you can choose to have the tea, and it'll taste good and it'll give your body fuel. And you take the morality out of it. You take out the right and the wrong, the good and the bad, and you simply look at. I have a choice. This is what my mind would do, this is what my intuition would do. Which one do I choose, as the conscious, empowered observer, of both options? What do I choose in this moment? And let that be okay. Let whatever choice you make be the choice that you make. Don't fight yourself more. Don't say, oh, what if I had chosen this one? What if I did that? Cut off the what ifs and say, no, this is the choice that I made, I chose to do this and this is what I'm doing. As simple as that.

Speaker 1:

Our mind creates so much chatter and so much what if? And so much you could have or you should have. Or what if If? You just breathe those out and you say, no, this is the choice that I made. It's that simple.

Speaker 1:

And find a mantra for you, whether it is simply this is the choice that I made or you have a different saying. Find something that, when your mind starts pulling up all of these thoughts, you can come back to your center and say, no, this is it. And that's actually that's a really powerful mindset trick to get your body involved too. Of when your mind starts bringing up all of that stories If you take your hand and kind of scoop the thought away, like you're just going to scoop it out of your mind, and then you push it away and then you put your hand in front of you like you're pointing forward from your heart and you say, whatever affirmation it is, you know, this is the choice that I made, or I am aligned to my vision, or whatever it is. And then you just kind of clap your hands and send that thought off and say, and so it is, that's it, and so it's.

Speaker 1:

This process of your mind starts going what if, what, if, what if? You scoop it away, you throw it away with your hand, you realign, you shoot your hand forward from your heart and you say, no, I am aligned to my vision, and you clap your hands and send it off, and so it is, and you bring yourself back into that centered state so that you're not perpetuating those thought cycles, you're not getting wrapped up in the drama, you're just coming back into what's happening right now. What's the choice that I'm making now? What is the empowered choice that I chose to make? Because I looked at both options my mind and my soul and I chose which one I wanted to do, which one I wanted to follow, and that's it, and that's enough.

Speaker 1:

And, as simple as that sounds, it makes all the difference and it really does get to be that simple.

Speaker 1:

That doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to be easy, but it does get to be that simple. We can boil it down to that simple choice of mind or intuition, mind or intuition in each and every moment, and slowly find ourselves walking that path that's in alignment with who we truly are, and that sense of ease and peace and connection that comes when you're no longer fighting yourself, when you're trusting yourself and you're listening to your intuition and you're giving your mind moments of saying look at this time that I listened to my intuition and all these magical things that happened. Or look at this time that I listened to my intuition and I felt so good after. And then suddenly your mind gets on board too, of saying, oh, you know what? There is a different way, there is a better way.

Speaker 1:

I don't have to be spouting out these options from your past, I don't have to be perpetuating this disease, because that's all the mind knows how to do. I now have this new set of options to pull from. I now have this evidence and this proof that your intuition is true and it's powerful and if you listen to it, it can expand your health and transform your well-being. And so, yeah, that's what we'll do. We'll stay aligned, we'll stay connected, we'll stay present and, like Chantel said, it is a process, but we're not focusing on the process, we're not focusing on what comes next, we're focusing on what happens now and the choice that you have right in front of you, because it really does get to be that simple.

Speaker 2:

And I like that. It's just because it's simple doesn't mean it's easy, because it sounds like it's supposed to be easy but it isn't. But what ends up happening is you do these little steps and then, before you know it, you're a year out, you're two years out, five years out, and who you are today, like if I would have seen myself five years ago to where I am now health wise, you know that just if I would have been so overwhelmed just trying to project and see who, how I would have been. No, you got to see it for where you are today, just right now. And that's bringing us back to our Reiki precepts, right, and our principles of just for today. Because if just for today we're focusing on our health, our thoughts, what we're eating, what we're doing, that is enough. And what tomorrow brings, let tomorrow bring. We don't have to set this whole intention for the week, the month, everything. Just bring it into your moment for right now, enough. And what tomorrow brings, let tomorrow bring. We don't have to set this whole intention for the week, the month, everything. Just bring it into your moment for right now. Just have that conscious awareness. And what am I doing right now and when you can do that. That brings in that instant power.

Speaker 2:

Instantly you feel empowered because you made your choice, you made your decision and you're acting. And when there's action, then you know that you're moving forward, your body aligns to that, your mind aligns to that, your emotions align to that because you took the action of it. And so when it's when we just think about it but there's no action and we become stagnant, and then the brain, the mind, just becomes stagnant and thinks, oh okay, we're comfortable right here. But your body then is like no, we're not, because I'm getting sicker or I'm getting this or I'm getting that. So the action is really where it is.

Speaker 2:

But it's the little things in action. You know, sometimes it's just getting out of bed, it's just taking a nice hot, warm shower. It's those simple things that are going to bring in that empowered awareness within yourself. To where your heart expands, your confidence expands, everything starts to expand. Because you did that Tuning into the energy in which we are and most of us having Reiki to some level, bringing that Reiki energy in and working with that, because when we are truly working with the Reiki and ourself, we are in full alignment with our higher self, and our higher self is like okay, let's do this, let's move forward. What do you want to do today? And it's just, it's a great combination of elements to bring forward so that on the human, our human self, we're not always just in despair of life is heavy and difficult, we know that, so let's shift it and recognize that as spiritual beings, we're way more magical than we give ourself credit for.

Speaker 1:

I love that. I love that, and that's a perfect place to wrap up and come to our invitation again to you all today is what's going to be that small thing that you do today to awaken your intuition, to come back to yourself? What's going to be that one choice that you make that's going to help you expand instead of saying limited, it doesn't matter what it is, how big or how small it seems, but what is that choice? And we invite you to share that with us over in the Moon Rising Shamanic Mystics Facebook group so that we can continue this conversation and you can connect with people who are also thinking about this and reflecting on this topic and finding those choices in their own life. That's going to empower them to claim your power to heal.
