Wisdom Rising
From Breath To Root: Balancing Airy Vision With Earthly Grounding For Real-World Manifestation
Breath without grounding floats away. Grounding without breath forgets to dream. We dove into the living relationship between air and earth—how vision, intuition, and voice meet presence, safety, and action—to turn inner whispers into real-world change. From composting heavy emotions with tree roots to freeing a stuck throat with one honest breath, we share simple practices that help you shift out of loops and into flow.
In this episode, we'll explore:
- Air as ideas, intuition and communication
- Earth as presence, safety and manifestation
- Composting heavy emotion into usable energy
- Body scans to locate energy by chakra and element
- Practical tools for grounding and breath-based release
- Spotting imbalance and language to rebalance clients
- Grief without judgment as a sign of aliveness
- Shamanic journeywork as earth body and air vision
- Community practice in an interactive monthly container
We map manifestation as a pathway through the elements and the body: air brings the idea and the language, fire lends will, water fuels creativity, and earth gives it bones. That path also runs in reverse, lifting primal desire at the root up through breath and voice until it radiates into your field as a clear invitation. Along the way, we unpack signs of imbalance—overthinking, anxiety, disassociation, hyper-focus on details—and offer language and facilitation prompts that widen a grounded state or land a lofty one. This is Kokoro in action: heart, mind, and body aligned so thought serves love and the body carries change until it’s real.
You’ll hear a vivid journey story of merging with a golden field of consciousness—why several people can receive the same idea at once—and how to pour that light back into daily life: food, movement, ritual, and care. We close with practical, shamanic tools you can use today: drumming, feathers, incense, calling directions, crystal grids, and a body-led check-in to choose earth or air on purpose. Plus, we introduce our Mystic Moon Collective, a monthly, interactive space with shamanic journey (earth) and sacred conversations (air) designed to help you practice, share, and grow with community.

Welcome to Wisdom Rising, the podcast of Moon Rising Shamanic Institute. Join shamanic Reiki practitioners Christine Renee and Chantel Ochoa as we dance between worlds of shamanism, mysticism, and energy healing. Each week we illuminate your path to self-sourced wisdom and attune you to the whispers of wisdom rising from within. So welcome, welcome, welcome to our Whispers of Wisdom. I'm joined with Chantel Ochoa for our conversation today, which is a part two from last week. Today we're focusing on air and earth, whereas last week we focused on water and fire and noticing how these are contrasting elements. And so here we are talking today on air and earth and all of the places and spaces that we can play and like embody these elements. How do they show up in our lives? How do we how do we craft from the space? How do we communicate from the space? And so I am looking forward to to the conversation. And I know Chantel, you have so much, you have other ideas that you want to offer over this. Do you want to give us a little overview of what you're hoping for today?
SPEAKER_01:Just recognizing that they are our allies. And with that, it's you know, they both earth and air, they can be very much like our creator, like creative energy, but it can also be like the destroyer of things, right? So noticing both sides of the elements and how they work with us, but at the same time, how do they help to shift and move things out of our life, change perspective, all of that, especially with earth being very grounded, very rooted, and air being very etheric, very um higher consciousness, that kind of thing. And the element itself, removing and shifting um what no longer serves us. But then at the same time, like I said, both of them are very creative, very um connective elements in our life. And so working with these two, it's very interesting to see the dynamics because it's like above and below, you know?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, absolutely. Where do we want to begin? I feel like we should start with the grounded place of earth, this part of the body, the elements of this grounded, stable nourishment manifestation and primal energies. Like I feel like when I think of earth and root chakra, it's very, it has this primal element that's being birthed from the earth. What energy does that look like?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, very rooted, rooted. Um, Mother Earth, Pantamama, all of that. So being able to give her everything that we are working through, every step that we take, being rooted, being connected with her energy. Like this is the full embodiment of us being in this physical body is to also connect with the element of earth, to connect with her loving energy as well.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, absolutely. And it's the I feel like when we can really bring into the moment of how am I walking on the earth? Am I stomping? Am I walking gracefully? Like, there's a bit of how is my approach the energy of the earth? And how does she approach me? How is this a symbiotic relationship and recognizing? Like, I had a student um just recently tell me, like, her favorite thing that she learned about soul rising was this idea of composting, that the earth is ready to take our energy that we're ready to release and let go of, and that the earth is going to compost it. And so it's not like I'm feeling bad for stomping or walking gracefully. It's more of how is that relationship? How does how am I recognizing that she can take it all and transmute it and transform it and alchemize it and turn it into a blessing for our next step? Right. And so I just um I love, I love talking about Earth because I feel like I have such a rich connection of anchoring in and knowing that she can handle it. She can handle it. And I think that's a message that I hope to offer our community of recognizing, like, yeah, so you're having a bad day and you're crying all day or you're screaming all day. And if you can be in relationship with the earth, she can handle it, she can take it, and she can then transform it into something really powerful energy that you can use.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, she can carry all of our grief or sadness. You know, she offers a great like support system for us and helps us to regulate our own like nervous system, our emotions, all of it. And so it's when we have a relationship with Earth, the element of Earth, knowing that at any point we can go outside and really connect with her energy, that alone is gonna help lift us, right? It's gonna, it's gonna shift our emotions, it's gonna shift our perspective, take in some deep, you know, just releasing breaths of connecting with her, placing, you know, like literally sitting root on the earth and hands palm down, feet on the ground, you know, those kinds of things. When we're really sitting on her, it's we can feel that energy go deep within her and pull that energy up and you know, regulate that within our own system. And so it's so powerful, all of how we can just go purge. It's like hearing in shamanism is like, go give it to the trees, you go yell to the trees, you can go cry to the trees because the roots can take it and will transform, like take it down deep into the earth. So it's not like we're doing any harm. That's part of their existence here, is to hold that space for us, right?
SPEAKER_00:It's this conscious awareness that we have that the earth is this foundation, it's got this, it has a stable foundation that can just hold it all. It can hold it. And I I love I love that. I love knowing that this is so readily available to every human, right? Some people have um a struggle connecting with the elements, and I feel like the earth is is one that we all should feel connected to because we're earthlings beyond everything else, but regardless of what our astrology is, right? We're all born onto the earth and that we can feel connected to her. Even if we live in a concrete box, there's still some way to anchor in and connect. And I think that's what I hope is like even in the smallness of your earthly connection, like the the your connection with an organic embodiment of the earth, whatever that looks like for you. Maybe it is your freaking houseplant. Cool, right? If that's all you have, like how and or the the food that you eat, like the vegetables and the fruits, like these are all ways that you can really feel connected to the earth because it came from her, right? And so it's this um recognition that I am like the most influential planet for all of us is the earth first.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah. And even going back to food, like when you're working with your root chakra and we're talking about how can we bring in balancing, yes, eating rooted food, eating, you know, very grounded, like neat and things can be that helps to bring that grounding element into our bodies. And when we do, when we travel to the different realms and we go to the middle world, that's where we're doing like our soul retrieval, that's where we're doing our cord cuttings, like our deepest, you know, um shamanic work is to be able to work with the earth herself to offer it when we're pulling things out during Reiki sessions. Where do we send it? We're sending it straight to the earth so that she can transmute it. And so knowing the power that she carries and the element that that is, yes, having plants in your home, you know, playing in the dirt, gardening, any of these activities are gonna help to ground you, even if you're not even intentionally doing it, your body is naturally gonna start connecting with the earth's ions and all the things that she does, and you don't even have to think about it. But you always feel great after doing it, you know, it's like go out and garden, go out and take care of your trees, whatever you want to do. Those are all gonna bring in a different balance within your system.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, absolutely. And it's this way of feeling completely present in the moment. Yeah. You know, oftentimes, like if you look at air, there's very different quality of like being in the present. Earth is like you are right here, right now. It's right in front of you. What's your response? How are you connecting? Right. And I think that's um such the beauty of it. Like, oftentimes when we're out doing some type of physical exercise, right? Like if you're rock climbing or skiing or going for a mountain bike ride or walking around your neighborhood, that that activity upon the earth and in nature brings you into the present moment. It says, be here right now. And I love that because I love when I'm gardening and I'm speaking to each of the plants and talking to the seeds. And so I get upset when I go to the garden and someone is in there talking about politics. I'm like, no, the plants can hear you. Please don't get that energy here. We are with the plants, we're present here with the earth. If you want to talk about that, go somewhere where you're go to the compost pile. Right. So it's it's really trusting your connection, your place in the earth, and recognizing how we are cultivating. Like as we cultivate the earth, how are we cultivating ourselves? How are we cultivating our emotions? How are we cultivating our life? And how can we support its manifestations?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. And I do like that. It's a great reminder that whatever we speak into our food, we eat. So it is a great reminder, whether you're cooking, whether you're gardening, whether you're prep you're prepping food, whatever we're talking about, that energy goes into the food that we eat, you know, because it's alive. It's energy, it's alive. And so, you know, so yes, when we're balanced, we are able to really take in this life form to help us to root and and to manifest our ideas that are coming through into this reality. And that's a big part of working with the earth energy, too, is to be able to pull in and really ground what it is that we're doing, being very anchored in our visions, very anchored in our desires and bringing those forward with the earth element.
SPEAKER_00:Right. Well, and it's so interesting when we start contrasting it to the air. You know, there's a reason why, like last week we spoke about fire and water. These are contrasting elements. And air and earth are contrasting elements because earth is very grounded, it's very stable, it's very present. And air is like, it is almost uh an element of whimsy, it's an element of thoughts and ideas and swirling of information and like being very etheral almost, right? It's coming from our breath, it's coming from our lungs, it's coming from our heart space, right? And so it just wants to experience it all, right? And it's so contrasting that that bigness compared to the earth, which is like we're present right now in the activity that we're set upon, right? And noticing how that stretches oneself when we can say yes to both. I want to be present and I want to have the big idea. It was very interesting on the way home this morning. I was thinking about how in manifestation, oftentimes we get these big ideas. I have this idea, okay. I want to have a retreat center. And then we have to move it through the four elements all the way to earth. We have to ground it into reality, right? So we get the big idea, and then I have to breathe life into it. I have to communicate what this could look like. And then I bring it down in my solar plexus. Is this true for my identity? Am I motivated to take the action? There's that fire. Where's the fire that's gonna express it? Right. And then we have to come down into the sacral where it's like, okay, I'm in my creative flow and I'm crafting and I'm creating the thing and I'm putting it together. And the root is the here it is now. It's manifested, it's on the earth, it's created and in its fullness and its form, right? And so there is the contrast with air. It's like, here's the idea, here's the form, and what's that journey that it needs to take? And so where air feels like the vision, it's the divination, it's the it, it's it is so much in this realm of mystery, right?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it's our in, it's our intuition, it's in our communication, it's really in the way, yes, like pulling it through and speaking it, right? It's connecting with our guides, it's connecting with the element of spirit and to breathe that into life and to constantly be able, well, not constant, but be able to consistently work with the element of air through throat, through our communication. And how does that look? Are we balanced in our communication or are we not? You know, it's like having that spectrum as well, because we can be on one side where we're too overly, you know, expressive, or we can be on the other side of it when we don't express ourselves enough. So it's how much air do we need and how much air do we have, right? So it's bringing in the balance of how we communicate and how we express our thoughts, our vision, our intuition.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:I'm over here. Like in this like idea of how the energy moves, like I just used an example of moving the big idea into form, but how it can also come the other direction, right? How it can become this, you're moving in the that root chakra of here's my primal urge, my primal, like, oh, I want this. I I'm I'm so um in my fullness of my desire of my primal self and how it can move and spiral up through the elements into that etheric breath, right? How are we using breath to move that energy upwards? And so the breath can be the activator of like, okay, you have that thing that you want to manifest that's already in this rooted, grounded place in your body, but how do I get to it to be inspired? How do I bring it out into my energetic field? And you're using the breath to basically breathe it up into the different elements until it can come out into your etheric field, into that auric field, into your etheric body. And that then is like a placement where you're it feels like you're impregnating your auric field with the idea that you want manifested, and then it will come, right? And so it's recognizing like we have these energy flows within us, and how air, how the breath itself can be so incredibly powerful because you can feel it in your body. If the body is the foundation, we have the awareness of that, and then we have the flow of it, right? The the air is is the breath in which we can bring the intention to a new place. So it can feel very inspired, it can feel very intuitive, it can feel uh a way of communicating with all of our senses.
SPEAKER_01:It's like when you're coming down, you're you're receiving the messages from from the universe, right? And you're bringing that down versus coming from the earth up, you're seeing what change is needed, you're feeling into the collective energy, you're recognizing that we need certain services, certain aspects, you know, here. So we're bringing that in from our human experience or collective experience versus the spiritual realm, bringing it in. Like, here's your download, here's a message, bring this forward versus I see this around me, and this is what I need. Like, we need change here, or to bring this forward. Right.
SPEAKER_00:And so it's like this two-way communication highway between the earth and the heavens.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, absolutely.
unknown:Right.
SPEAKER_01:And I think it's that flow that is constantly happening. Right. And those who really are connected um to, you know, receiving messages, getting intuitive nudges, all of that, you know what that feels like. It is fully a down, it does feel like that download that's coming. And then when you're bringing it up, it's just the opposite, the freeway that you're talking about. But it's it's all the two elements that are really working above, below, and then the elements in between. So, like we were talking last week, we are the four elements, right? And this is how we can create and how we can digest life is through these elements. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_00:They're they're all intertwined, they're all in communication with one another. And I think um it's it's so hard when we try to dissect it into this is all by itself because they're always communicating and connecting with one another, and they're always in motion, and that's why we feel with emotion energy in motion, right? So it's like, where is it? Where is it being held in the body? Where is it connecting with the divine? Where is it connecting with the earth? How are we experiencing life and how are the elements showing up for us?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, and then I think that's when we go within, we really can feel like, where is this coming from? Right? Whether you're working with your chakras, you're working with inner child work, you know, just past memories, just energy in itself, whenever we can sit with it and recognize this is where it's showing up. That right there is like a strong powerhouse, wherever it is, because then you can intuitively dive in and say, yes, it is in my throat. Okay, I got air that I can work with. I can go outside, I can scream, I can move and shift energy through air, through breath, through my throat. Or I can go and connect with the earth and just sit in meditation and give it to her, you know. And so these are these balancing acts that we can do, but knowing, like, okay, there it is. I've tuned in enough to my physical body to recognize where this energy is at, connect it to a past memory, give it that healing, give it the release that it's ready to do, and then start empowering yourself through Reiki. And so it's like this whole cycle of understanding, and you know, it's important to do that, to do that work, to tune into yourself.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, it's very interesting how we can show up in the world and live life in this way of recognizing what elements are speaking to us and recognizing if they're in balance, right? I feel like there's oftentimes you can be too much in your earth or too much in your ear, or vice versa, right? For any of them. And to recognize where does the balance show up? And how can you, if you can recognize in yourself, okay, I'm really in my earth energy right now. So I'm really grounded, I'm really stable, I'm have a conscious awareness of of what is happening before me. I'm consciously available to hold the space and know what's happening in this field. And I'm grounded, I'm connected, I'm I'm transmuting things by giving it to the earth. And if that's all that there was, how how would that be out of balance? Right. And so it's it's recognizing when you're too much in the details, too much in this area of I'm hyper focused on what's right in front of me and not seeing the big picture, not seeing for what purpose am I doing this? Right. And so here I am last night, I was teaching my facilitators class and the technique of shock, what I like to call chakra up and down, of using language of seeing where the client, what their energy is, and where, if they're in their earth element or if they're in their air element, and how do you speak to each of those to help them balance their energies? Right? Because that's where the aha moments come. You take someone who is super grounded, super earth, super nose to the grindstone, and you start asking, for what purpose? Why do you do this? What's the benefit of this? And then they start broadening broadening their horizons of oh, well, it's so that I feel a spiritual connection with Earth for what purpose? And you just keep asking them, and then all of a sudden. Now you have this air element showing up where they're they're in their big idea. They're they're they know their purpose and why they are doing what they're doing. And and then you have the clients that that's where they live. They get the big ideas all the time, and they have no idea how to make manifest it because they cannot see the details. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:And when you get people that are always in the air, it's like the mind's on a walkabout all the time, you know. And you have to journey all the time.
SPEAKER_00:Right. And so then it's like, what specifically do you want to create? Like, what would be the next step for that? What actions you are you gonna take today? You know, it's so you really are taking this big idea person and and like making them come down into their root. And it's fascinating to watch people have these giant aha moments when they are so used to being in one of the elements versus the other.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. And as a facilitator, it's important for us to recognize where they're at. You know, it's like when you get them on the table after you do your conversation and intake and all that, and then you feel how they're not grounded. And then when the session's done and they're like, oh my gosh, I feel so heavy. It's like, yeah, it's the first time you've probably been grounded, like ever, you know? And so there's such that airy feeling when you're all up in your head versus when you are fully rooted and grounded, how dense and heavy your body feels, right? And I have a client that she she works with spirit like all the time. And so it's too much, though, you know, and so I have to help her balance that out. It's like sometimes we got to close that crown, sometimes we gotta say, okay, I need a break and pull that energy down through your feet and root it because she's up here all day, all night long, you know? And and so once we do that work, she's just like, oh, it's like a breath for her. It's like she's able to relax because she's fully then grounded. And so it's now her techniques are to go home with your homework. You know, make sure that you're grounding, make sure that you're connecting to the earth when you have those spiritual nudges, all those thoughts, and you know, you're seeing spirit around you, you have messages for others, right? Then we can still set our boundaries with that, but then it's now we got to bring that through and filter it through the other chakras, through the other elements and earth them.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, right. And I you can see it even in your own life. Like, when have you been in your earth? When have you been in your air? When have you been in your sacral? When have you been in your fire? And when that has become the priority. Like, I can really recognize times in my life where it's like, wow, I was so in my earth element for this period of my time because it and needed that safety, right? Earth is all about creating safety. That's what it strives for, right? And so you do all of the things to make you feel safe versus my goal orientation, my orientation of life is to love, to be of service, to connect with others, right? That's the air element. So those that are like you can see where it can be time periods in your life, it can be energy of the day, of this recognition of where is my energy focused at? And where do I feel it in my body? Like our body can hold such clues for us to go, where am I? Am I tiptoeing around and bonking into things? Right? I'm in my air energy, I'm floating through life versus I'm grounded and I'm stomping and going, how how present am I in the details of my to-do list? Right. And just recognizing where you're at and not judging yourself for it. I think there's so much we get in this caught, like, well, I'm in my feminine power today, which is all sacral chakra, which is all the water, and I'm receptive. I'm like, great. And know that you can shift that, you can recognize that and not judge it. You can know that you're okay, so you're there. Is it does it feel good? How does it serve you? How does this is a disservice to you? How do you want to balance it out? Like, I think we when we um start judging these elements as good and bad, because there isn't, there's not that that's not the point. Yeah, it's not the point. It's not the point, it's to recognize they have strengths and they can offer us so much, but it's about bringing in the balance so that we can have access to all of them at any time. So there's gonna be times in our life that I need to get grounded and I need to be fully present and I need to be able to hold the space for others. And there's gonna be times that I'm out there talking light language and I am not of this world. And I can, and I can't say that either of those are wrong or bad, they're just different. And how can we have this as part of our human experience of I am embodied in this body to experience it all, all of the elements, and how does earth want to show up for me? And how does air want to show up for me? And how can I utilize both of these to connect greater to myself, to others, to the universe, to the earth? And how does that feel? How does it feel? It doesn't have to be right or wrong, good or bad.
SPEAKER_01:No, no, and one is because we are embodying these human vessels on this earth, and the other is because it's a reminder of where we come from. You know, when we're in our air element, we're connecting to our true consciousness. And then when we are in our earth, we're connecting to our human experience. So it's recognizing that it's both of them. We need both of them. That is a great balance. You don't want to have one without the other, right? You just want to know where you're coming from and how are you in balance or how are you out of balance? So that's important to know too. So when you're in out of balance, like with air, there's a lot of things that you might recognize within yourself to help you have that awareness to say, okay, I need to go get balance. So there might be mental heaviness. You might be overthinking, overanalyzing, just over, you know, everything. You might have block expressions, you've just, you know, anxiety, disassociation, anything like that is gonna create like spiritual overwhelm, right? So we want to balance in air. We want to feel like we're more in control of our thoughts, or we have a balance in our thoughts. We don't need our thoughts going and controlling us, right? We need to be able to hone in on that. Yeah, because you get in that loop. It's you know, your brain will take over, the ego will step forward. And then before you know it, you're not in your spiritual body, you're now in your ego body, you're now like really focused there because there's that imbalance. So pulling that in and noticing too, okay, is this my heart or is this my mind? Am I in ego or am I in spirit right now? You know, which element or which part of myself am I really tuning into right now? Right.
SPEAKER_00:And I feel like that uh I want to bring in this idea of Kokoro, the, you know, it's a a breaky term from Japan of balancing the heart, mind, body. You know, it's this understanding that our mind can be of service. Our mind can be activated in a supportive way that can utilize the voice of the heart and it can come out in this balanced way versus here's my ego, here's my overthinking, here's my, you know, fill in the blank, and recognizing what is my mind serving me. Because I I think there's oftentimes this idea that the mind is um can have this negative connotation in the spiritual world, and and it's and it's that what we're really saying is it's the ego, or we're saying it's this overthinking, anxious mind. But the thoughts can really be of service for us, it can be such a powerful tool to be able to recognize and analyze how we see the world and recognize where is this influenced by my heart and where is this influenced by my ego? And is it going on some side quest which actually is just an anxiety loop? And so it's it's having that conscious awareness. Maybe that's where the earth and air come together, right? Right, because that's what it feels like. It's like that that it's coming from it's your thought process coming from a grounded space. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I had to talk that way. So releasing like the expectations of you know, and releasing the need to control the outcome. And I think that's where earth comes in. Because if air, if we're thinking we need to control it, we're thinking we need to um we have these expectations that might not be met, then earth comes in and balances that because then that's where we have stability and we can feel secure and we we don't have scarcity mindset because we're like, if it's for our highest good, it's gonna happen. If we can have all these visions and all these thoughts and go and create and build, but if that outcome isn't happening, it's okay then to step back and say, okay, this or better. And you know, we always say like this or better, because if this is not it, then better is coming. So you don't have to sit in stress and say, and fight so hard to make something happen, right? You're pushing, trying to push it through that peg hole. It's like, no, I have the vision. If it's meant to happen, it will, but I can ground that now. I can sit with Earth and say, if this is meant to be here on Earth, it will come through. If not, it's this or better and move forward with whatever else is coming forward for you.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Yeah. The whole experience is a beautiful thing. Like I think living life is a beautiful thing. I had a friend this morning call me, um, really upset, and to be able to comfort her by saying, Recognize where you're at. This is you're in grief. This is just telling me how fully alive you are right now because you're feeling the emotions. What a beautiful thing that you get experience this. And so, yeah, so you cried for four hours. Can you say that's okay? Or are we bringing judgment to it? Like I'm a bad person, or I'm a failure, or I'm have been rejected, or whatever it is. When you can just go, I gave myself permission to feel all of the feelings and be in it and not judge it. Of going, I'm I'm just alive. And I think that's where we can come and approach our emotions and approach our life with such grace of just recognizing that I'm living, I'm experiencing. And what does that look like? And what what opportunities do I have before me, just like I do with the elements of how do I want to express myself through these elements today?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I think we get that that's where our air element can step in and judgment comes through. Like, oh my god, I've cried for four hours, or I've I have all these emotions and I shouldn't feel all these emotions. That's the overthinking. And then it's like, no, I am alive. We are human. And when we are in grief, that's a whole different energy that you're working with. And grief has its own cycle. So we have to work with that and its layers and its embodiment of what are we, you know, what are we grieving over? What are we releasing? What have we lost? What how can we regain like our own identity of self through this loss? And so there's so much with that, but that air can really create the judgment. And so it's bringing that balance in. It's truly like alchemizing the two between earth and air, and what is the balance between them and how do they create together, right? It's like grounded stability and embodiment of your intuition, manifesting your soul's purpose. So when we work through that lens, there is no judgment, it just is. And how does it show up for you? Because if it's ready to happen, all the things will start aligning up, everything. And then all the obstacles immediately will have a solution. So you know that you're in flow. But if something then blocks it, and then it's like, okay, I can release that and I can sit with this. So I really do like how the elements, these two elements in particular, really work well together.
SPEAKER_00:Right. Absolutely. Because earth says, be here now. Yeah. And air says, remember who you are. Right. And this is where that beautiful balance of our cosmic self and our earthly self get to be wedded to each other. That's what it's like.
unknown:Right.
SPEAKER_01:And so you have fire and and um fire and water, those two elements are very powerful in themselves, but it's just such a different energy between them. It's very emotional and very powerful. Whereas air and earth, it's just it's that pillar of light that's connecting you from above and below. So you really can feel the energies of these two.
SPEAKER_00:Right. And so in shamanic terms, it's like they're the earth is the body of the shaman, right? It's it's that it's there, the container of this experience, and the air is the vision that the shaman is having, right? And I love that that that quick snapshot, because this is why in our upcoming Mystic Moon Collective, our monthly membership, we've assigned shamanic journey to the earth sign because it is this connection with the earthly elements, right? Like when we can really see that, and then air being these conversations, like and whether that is an intellectual conversations and we're taking QA's, or we're playing in light language, it's this air element of how do we want to breathe life into our thoughts, into our visions, right? Like, how can we play in that energy and noticing how they're so both valid for our spiritual makeup, our spiritual journey, and how do they serve us?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah. No, it's beautiful because when we do the journey work and we are embodying that shamanic practice within us, it very much is that. We are that grounded earth because if not, if you travel out and you're not grounded and you're not connected, right? So many other different experiences can come into your journey. So it is really about we gotta we bring in fire by burning things, right? We bring in air with the feather, with wind and all of that. And but when we are envisioning, when we go and travel and vision and that being the air element and the messages that we receive is so profound, you know. I'll have to share, like um, this one was pretty intense, but uh like last week I was laying on the couch and I wasn't even dreaming, but I I traveled out of my body, I actually connected with consciousness and I knew what I like it was so intense to see it. But when we are when I traveled out, I was still in my physical shape, but the further I got away, I turned it just into light and consciousness, and I merged with the light, and I was it was just a golden light, and we were like the conscious beings up there were just thought. It's all air, it's thought, and then we're here, we're manifesting, we are embodying the thoughts of the ether, the thoughts of consciousness. And here in Earth, we're down here having this earthly experience of all the thoughts that consciousness is having. And it's almost like this net that gets thrown out there. And when you are in alignment with certain levels of that consciousness, that's where our ideas come from, right? That's why you can have a whole group of people that suddenly have the same idea because that thought has been put out there in the conscious awareness, and who is aligned to that thought, right? So suddenly you have a whole group of people like, oh, I'm gonna teach this or I want to do that, or manifesting this or whatever. And it's because, yes, we are at that conscious level. And it was so amazing to be in that space because it was like instantly anything that I was thinking about was right there. There was no physical nutness to it. I had no physical experience until I came back into body, but I realized that like it was showing me the dynamics of how it works, and it was like I went beyond the level of like life review and all that. Like I went straight to consciousness and it was a it was pretty powerful. Yes, yes, yes, and that's journey work, that is literally as traveling and doing our work and and dirt and journeying because there's no plant medicine on that, right? That was just me sitting on my couch doing my doing me, doing my work, and it was like, oh, okay, and here I am in consciousness, right?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, and I um I love those kind of experiences. I I mean, I think I love it all, you know. Like I think that's part of me in life, is like, yes, I love disembodied experiences where I'm surrounded by this loving conscious energy, and I love feeling it in my physicality, like that's the earth, right? Like there's there's that contrast, and I don't find them contradictory, I find them in this beautiful ebb and flow, and it's such a beautiful thing to just recognize where you're where you're at and feeling the feelings of it, right? And so when we're having these this etheric experience, I'll put it that way, where we're feeling like pulled far out into the conscious field and just recognizing this feeling of floatingness, yeah, right? It feels like I'm just supported, loved, and just I feel like I'm shining, but I'm shining with all of it, right? And then when you're in your body, it's like how can I take that line, that light, that shine, that everythingness, and bring it through the physicality of my body? How can I show up in the world? How can I eat? How can I like all of the things like the physical container of who I am? How can I then explore and express that light? Yeah, so juicy.
SPEAKER_01:It is so juicy. It really is. I mean, this is just us working with the elements, just um connecting with that, you know, and how many people don't even recognize it or bypass it every day and don't even see what they're walking past in their own yard or driving past or whatever. People are so much in their phones these days, or you know, head down and just bunkering in. And it's like, no, lift up, look around, fill into it all.
SPEAKER_00:Well, it just reminds me, I often um I think one of my uh when I'm eager, I guess I should say this, when I'm eager to have an out-of-body experience, which isn't very often, it's not like I typically just like you, it's not like I I look go looking for it. That's not usually my tendency, but oftentimes it's this remembrance of remember who you are. Remember, right? And so it's because I it's usually in times when I'm like, oh, it's so freaking hard down here. Like, why did I choose this earth life? It's so hard, right? And so then you you end up floating away and going, I remember my light, I remember who I am, I remember why I came. And then you turn back around and you look at the earth and you're like, oh my God, I love her so much. I love that life is giving us this opportunity to experience the contrast, to experience the wide range of emotions, to experience all that she has available. And then you're you're it's like I'm pulled back into my body by this rejoicing of I'm so in love with Earth and all of the experience that we get to have here. And yes, it's a fucking roller coaster ride of a life of all these ups and downs. And how glorious is that how glorious is that. And I just um I revel in it. I I don't find them, I find them in support of one another. Yeah, we need both. I don't even know if need is the right word. I think it's more of I allow I allow myself to experience all of it. And and instead of coming at it with judgment of going, how can I accept all of the emotion, all of the experience, and just allowing it to be part of my database of my experience of who I am and how I Got to show up and how will I experience that differently next time? And it's it's such a beautiful life. We get to have the opportunity to live in this physical container. And so often I go, Well, I don't like this physical container. It's got these health issues and it's got these judgments upon it. And and then you have I pull myself out once again and like, oh yeah, that's why. That's why I chose this form. That's why I chose this struggle and how beautiful it is to come into relationship and understand and discover yourself in a new dynamic way through these different containers. Okay, I really brought it out of the air there.
SPEAKER_01:Yes, but that is how that works. And it's it's a beautiful way. Like I was having a conversation with our students the other day, and we were talking about this experience of, you know, when how difficult things can be down here. And it's like, what we're talking about though is seeing how gifted we are to be in this experience, right? And if we're plugging into all of the heaviness, then that becomes our experience. But when we can kind of just come back, pull back to ourselves, see what is happening in our personal universe and our realm, you know, that's where we can have when you're going collective back to self, collective back to self, air to earth, you know, is to be able to recognize what's around you and what can you create within your space that is very loving, very airful, very much like the embodiment of what you want to experience, right? So we get to create that in our day-to-day. But when things get heavy, like you're saying, you can lift back up and out and say, Can I see why I have these experiences? Can you show me, you know, give me some messages, some answers? And that's what's so amazing about doing shamanic journey work and what we teach here with Soul Rising, because it's like once you learn how to do it, it is a skill that you have for the rest of your life. You never lose it. And you just got to sit with yourself even for just a few moments to ask the question and receive an answer. And sometimes it comes through this beautiful experience, and other times it's just a knowing, it's just a remembering, right? And then it's simple and it's, but it's so satisfying because I don't feel like I need to always go and have a conversation with somebody about how I'm feeling because I can just do it with myself. And I'm getting that higher awareness of it, whether it's through my higher self or guides or whatever, I'm receiving that message in the moment to say, okay, now I can see that full picture. And I don't have to go and judge myself or feel any such a way about life. I can just say, and this is what it is for now. Because it's just for today, it's just for this moment. And, you know, I have a lot of things that are my house is in movement right now and has been for a little, you know, a couple months now. Um, but I am just so proud of myself because I've had I've learned the skill set to just sit with it, to be the one that can ground that energy, not flip out because there's changes happening, but to say, no, I can I can hold space for this right now. And that's really connecting with Earth. Right? It's that calm.
SPEAKER_00:Yes. That's what you're speaking to. It's like I think Yeah, I'm very calm with all of the changes. Right. And I think it takes self-awareness. I think it takes all of these types of experiences. It takes the understanding of these elements and how they show up in your body to really go, I'm calm in this. I'm not judging it right or wrong, good or bad. I'm just aware, I'm present, grounded, I'm connected, and I'm showing up every moment in the version of who I am that is meant for this time and purpose.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Right. And so, how do we cultivate that calm? What experiences do we lean into to help support us cultivating the calm? Because when you're there, it's so life. I feel like life becomes easier in a way because we're we're not in that loop of of ego or anxiety or whatever it is when you're just like, oh, and this is happening now. I believe that there is a greater purpose for this thing happening now. I can trust the process. I know that there's this divine orchestration that's happening. Those are all air, and I'm gonna do the damn thing. I'm gonna move the furniture, I'm gonna box this shit up. I'm you know, right? And then there's the that beautiful contrast of holding the awareness of both and being in it.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it's doing the work, it's doing the physical work sometimes, like you're saying. Like you got to pack up the things, you gotta purge, you gotta move stuff around, you gotta make the energy shift in your home so that you can feel more connected with it. There's a lot of things that we can do too, to feel very grounded, to work with air, you know, you can drum, you can use feathers and incense and smoke and and sound healing, right? So there's a lot of ways for us to balance ourselves out with these elements. And so it's, you know, beating of the bones, it's it's really going and connecting is digging in the earth, like we were talking about before. But all of this is working with the those two elements, and then now bringing all four elements in because we've spoken about all four of them. So work with them, connect with them, know your directions on your own, like in your home, right? Setting up crystal grids, you know, drumming in the east, doing it, calling in the directions, calling in the elements, the power animals, the you know, the spirit animals of those directions, so that you can really feel anchored in and creating a grid of protection around your home, your property, yourself, your car, right? So these are all things that we can do that helps us to feel protected in life, but also very intentional.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. And so I'm very looking forward to our Mystic Moon collective. We've already had many people reach out with interest. Know that we are starting Thursdays in February, and this is going to be in the early afternoon and evening, depending on where you are. So it's going to be one-hour classes, four o'clock Pacific. That's 7 p.m. Eastern time. And the invitation is that every week is an interactive class. It's not a space just to lie back and receive, it's where there's an invitation to practice, to be fully present and engage. And so the Earth Elements is on the third Thursday, and this is gonna be our shamanic journey. So we're gonna meet you where you're at, experience level wise. So if you have already taken our Soul Reserve, or if you've taken our or any other shamanic journey course out there, and and that's the group space, we're gonna allow you to have the space to journey on your own solo. But most often we're gonna welcome in those beginners and have guided visualizations to the different realms of the shamanic world. And so that's gonna be such a powerful experience for you to get to know your inner landscape and to really connect with those elemental powers within you, your spirit guides or power animals, and then have this group share of what was your experience like? And how can we help continue that journey into your own connected earthly energy, your animist energy of knowing that everything is alive around us and being present in that versus on the fourth Thursday is our air element. We're gonna have sacred conversations, and that is a welcoming in of the air, of really having fully beautiful conversations, whether that there is a um a question that comes forward. Like, what do we all think that of life after death? What do we think that process is like? We can have that conversation. Or it can be where we're each doing a share of a light language or a reading of some kind. Like it can be whatever we want to create it. There's not necessarily an agenda, it's a feeling out the energy of the room and responding to that curiosity and going, where are we all today? How do we all want to show up in that air energy and float?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I'm really excited about these offerings because they're very interactive. So it's it's you don't just come and listen and learn. You're going to learn, but at the same time, you get to interact with your peers, you get to interact with your gifts. Like, what can you bring forward? What where are you traveling? What are the messages you're receiving, right? What conversations are in your heart? What messages are going to come through tarot, through you know, oracle cards? Like we literally get to embody all of it, right? And then receive Reiki and offer Reiki and be able to be in that healing energy as well. So, and then having the different elements that are coming in, because that is gonna be a part of the container that is created every week. So I just I think this is a great offering for people to dive in, to get to know themselves on a different level, to be able to interact with others, create friendships, you know, we're gonna have a group chat as well. So it's like if you want to pull cards for the group, if you want a journey for the group, if you want to um open up a conversation, anything like that, right? You want to offer Reiki to the group. So I just think that this is a great offering for people to open up and to see what they have to offer themselves within a container that's facilitated, but if we're like holding the space for that as well for people to just come and be.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I'm so excited. So know that we're starting in February. This is going to be Thursdays, late afternoon, evening time. And this is a monthly membership. So, with that monthly membership, you'll have access to a chat room so that we can continue to ask questions and get support from one another. There's also um, you get access to these four classrooms, interactive classrooms. And then if there is a fifth Thursday, we're gonna be doing something spot special, magical, delightful. And um, we will approach that when they show up. But yes, every Thursday, it's a monthly membership fee that is ongoing. So it's a subscription base so that you're saying, yes, I'm doing this this month. And you can you can cancel that at any time, but it's it's an invitation to really commit to your continued personal and spiritual development through the four elements, through the the intuitive tarot readings and developing that that fiery sense in yourself, that distance reiki and showing up for yourself and others and receiving and giving that water element and the shamanic journey work, that really earth element coming in connection with our knowingness of how the earth is showing up for us and that air, those sacred conversations. So we want to invite you, we want to welcome you to join us for the Mystic Moon Collective. And I'm really excited to start here on February 5th.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I'm really excited about this. So let us know if you are interested, if you have any questions, we'll have the link in the show notes so you can definitely register. But if you have any questions, you can email us, you can um DM us, just let us know. Other than that, you do have the choice of all four throughout the month, or you can choose one of your interests. Um, and so yeah, just come as you are and show us what you have to offer. And I just think it's exciting.
