Sex, spirituality, and “psychic protection” usually get filed into separate boxes. Here at Moon Rising, we don’t. Christine Renee sits down with student and shamanic Reiki practitioner Stacy Saucedo to trace a real learning path: how a simple question (“Why Chakras?”) turns into a deeper relationship with energy, the body, and the parts of ourselves we’ve been taught to hide.

In this episode, we’ll explore:

🌕 Letting go of “fixing” energy and practicing self-acceptance
🌖 How She Who Rises grew from intro to tantra into deeper conversation and integration
🌗 Talking about sex as sacred while respecting edges, boundaries, and trauma history
🌘 Psychic protection as strengthened field, grounded releases, and better energetic boundaries
🌑 Chakra education plus polyvagal theory to expand the zone of tolerance🌒 Microcosmic orbit, breath, sound, and movement as daily energy hygiene

We talk candidly about women’s sexuality and tantra as a practice of self-acceptance, not self-fixing. That means making room for the full range of human experience in sacred space: curiosity, joy, embarrassment, grief, anger, and the places where a topic hits an edge. We also unpack why shame and cultural silence can keep the nervous system locked in contraction, and how honest conversation plus somatic tools can start to soften that grip.

From there, we connect the dots between pleasure, boundaries, and energetic safety. Christine shares how breath, sound, and movement strengthen the field, how chakra education becomes practical when it’s embodied, and why polyvagal basics (hyperarousal, hypoarousal, and the zone of tolerance) matter for empaths, healers, and anyone who tends to “carry” others. You’ll also hear concrete energy hygiene ideas, including grounding releases, working with support in the unseen, and the microcosmic orbit as a way to circulate energy through the body.

If you’re looking for women’s tantra training, chakra healing, somatic movement practices, cord attachment awareness, or a grounded approach to psychic protection, this conversation gives you a clear map and a next step. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs stronger boundaries, and leave a review telling us what topic you want us to go deeper on next.

Welcome To Wisdom Rising

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Wisdom Rising, the podcast of Moonrising Shamanic Institute. Join shamanic Reiki practitioners Christine Rene and Chantel Ochoa as we dance between worlds of shamanism, mysticism, and energy healing. Each week we illuminate your path to self-sourced wisdom and attune you to the whispers of wisdom rising from within. Well, welcome back to this episode of Wisdom Rising. Today I'm joined with one of our students here at Moonrising Shamanic Institute. Stacy Sasido started taking so many of our masterclasses and really watched the progression of how the masterclass has developed. And so I wanted to bring her on today, partially to kind of interview me for how our next variation of a masterclass is going to go, our three-month She Who Rises course, because she has watched it turn in from intro to Tantra to a five-week She Who Rises course to She Who Speaks a Women's Communication on Sexuality course to now this. And so as she's taken the courses, she's gone down the rabbit hole with me and has watched me continue to respond to students' interests and needs. And this is the next variation as She Who Rises. So I wanted her to come on so that we can share our journey together, what it was like for her to be a student, what was it like for me to be the mentor, the teacher, the uh facilitator of these experiences, and what this next variation is going to include. I hope you enjoy the discussion, the journey, and know that She Who Rises is our three-month container for women on sexuality, on tantra, on uh understanding the chakra systems and the way energy moves and how that affects our capacity for psychic protection. And so if you're interested in that, be sure to check out the show notes. And if you have any questions, be sure to reach out to me. We start May 26th and let's dive into the show. So I want to say welcome, welcome, welcome, everyone. Welcome, Stacy, for joining with us today. Stacy is someone uh I think we've known each other for, I think you came into my energy field maybe a year ago. And um, Stacy is a shamanic Reiki practitioner, has studied extensively in both fields and came into my world to kind of fill in some educational gaps and and then has taken many of our master classes, and um, she's got a her own practice going down in. Why am I blanking? Where are you located? You're in the Reno area, but where is it?

SPEAKER_01

Gardnerville, Nevada.

SPEAKER_00

Gardnerville, Nevada. Okay. So um I just thought since Chantel wasn't available today, um, she has been in Hawaii and just got home and she's jet-legged. I was like, I'm gonna do something a little different. This will be fun. I'll bring Stacy on because there's been this interesting journey that she's been on and I've been on at like that parallels in a way. And I love this because as Stacy has been taking a lot of our master classes, I've been developing a lot of masterclasses, and there's this journey that kind of paced because I tend to meet the energy of my students and going, what's next? What's next? What needs to come through next? And so she's been able to witness this um development. And I'm really excited to have her on because not only has she participated in it fully and completely, um, she's got to witness me and like the taking these next steps for the development of them. So I just want to say, welcome, welcome to the call, Stacey. Thanks for being here.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you. Thank you. I um I found that um you have great humility. And so as I've gone along, I have learned so much more than I even anticipated in this variety of classes I've had the opportunity to take through you. So yeah, I just wanted to say that out out loud. I wasn't even aware of the opportunities that have come up with this.

Stacy’s Reiki Origin Story

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, and I would love to know, like, if you wouldn't mind telling our audience like where you're at then and now. Like, I would love to know just I would I'm sure they would like to hear um what your journey has been a little bit with your Reiki and shamanic background and maybe what pulled you into taking some of the master classes and what they were. Maybe we can start off that way and then we can kind of get into it.

SPEAKER_01

I love this. Okay. So I don't know, it was eight, eight years ago, maybe 10 years ago. Um, I had taken Reiki one from a gal. Um, and it was so interesting. You know, there I was um doing Reiki on a plant, and and then I looked, I I searched Reiki on Facebook, and you popped up out of Montana, no less. And um I, you know, I didn't think I could do what you do. And as we went along, I kind of lost touch, or uh, you know, or then you would pop up again. And it was about maybe two or three years ago now. Um I was coming home and you had uh an introduction to what you do on the phone. So I pulled over and and lock, you know, brought myself into your into your introduction. And I was just so touched by you and Chantel and um the amount of heart that went into it. And I remember you even uh your voice cracked and you got a little emotional. And I felt like I wanted to, you know, um reassure you, yes, you're doing the right thing. You you totally know, but you know, I was just new to this. And um and so another year or two goes by. I've been studying with a couple of teachers locally, and um I just I thought, well, I'm gonna I need a little coaching on all things because I'm not comfortable and I've I've probably missed some things, you know, with working and you know, trying to do all the things. And so I think I signed up for you for like a six-week coaching version. And it totally went a different direction than what I wanted because I asked one question and I'd been asking everybody that I knew, why Reiki? Why Reiki? We're studying shamanism, why Reiki? And you completely lit up. And I think you talked for an hour straight about why Reiki and your journey to find your way, and uh, you know, that kind of thing. So that's how it all started for me. And um, so as we go along, I'll think, oh, I really need some help. You know, I I said to you one day, I really need to find somebody to teach me how to coach the right way. So I'm not always trying to fix you. Because as women, and I was raised to do that, and you said, well, wait a minute, I've this has been but you know, I don't know how you put it, I don't remember now, but that's a topic I wanted to share. And so that's kind of where I went, okay, sign me up, let's let's move forward. And every direction has been amazing. And I don't know how this comes to you. I don't how do you, you know, how do you how did I do that?

Why Reiki Plus Shamanism Clicks

SPEAKER_00

I yeah, I think it's just like when um when you asked me about where does Reiki fit into all of this or why Reiki, it's I get so lit up by the question. Like, I don't know much about um what it human design. I'm like, which one is it? Which modality? I don't know much about human design, but when someone told me I was a generator, like I had someone read it and they said you're a generator, which means that you respond to your audience. You don't take action until a question is asked of you. Right. And so part of it, I feel like it's always been I know that everything that happens in my life, no matter how shitty it is or how hard it is, it's a golden nugget for me to share with the world. Right. And so I keep finding like I don't feel like I have an easy life. I feel like there's always life is life being in some capacity, right? And it's all for me to transmit, to alchemize and integrate so that I can offer it over, right? And so I think that's where my passion comes from. It's like I have had such miraculous experiences with raking, even recently. Like I here here's a little side tangent story. I um I'm gluten-free, have been gluten-free for 12 or more years. And um I've we have a new French bakery in town, and there's this whole idea that if you eat European flour, you might not have the same response, right? I'm like, all right, my body's doing really well. I feel like I'm in a place where I can like see if it's still a trigger. So I go have a French pastry and it's a freaking amazing. I haven't had gluten in like over a decade, right? Like, I am an indulging. So the first day we went, I only had two bites. I'm like, okay, I'm fine. I feel okay. So the next day we go back, I get a croissant, like a ham and cheese croissant. And I'm like, well, that's probably less pastry because I've got it full of ham and cheese, right? And um, and it was like two for one, right? And so they put some things in a bag and I bring it home. Third day, I have another pastry because I got some at home now. And I'm like, I feel heavy. Like I could feel like I feel heavy after I eat this, but I'm not having any major reactions. Well, my I have an autoimmune, and yesterday I woke up and um went to the bathroom, and what I saw was not okay. There was, it was not okay. And I don't want to go too VMI into it, but it was, it was, it was the worst I've seen in over a decade. And I'm like, okay, this isn't okay, but I I'm not scared. I know what to do. I have the things, I have medication on hand, and I'm just gonna go take a three-hour nap and I'm gonna give myself Reiki through the whole thing. And I haven't had what happened yesterday morning happen again, which doesn't make any sense. Logically, your your your your internal colon lining cannot repair that quickly. Like it doesn't logically make any sense physiologically, this shouldn't be okay. But at the same time, I'm like, well, three hours of Reiki, five hours of Reiki. I was fine this morning. So I'm like, I love Reiki so much because it does this, it's it's this huge thing. And the more we see science come out of like there's something to this, there's more something to this. So and I feel the same way around shamanism. It's like shamanism, shamanism has been around for the ages. Since humans existed on this earth, there has been shamanism, there's been the spirituality connected with nature, there's been animism, right? And so as we connect into this energy of recognizing what's around us, it like you see it show up in your everyday life of like, I'm not alone. I have all of these energies around me, I have this power source beneath me. And so combining Reiki and shamanism to me just makes sense. One energy is moving up from root to crown, the energy, the other energy, Reiki is moving from crown to the earth. So it's like if you can master both these energy flows, it's freaking fantastic, right? So I get really heightened by feeling the energies, knowing that I have the tools in my toolbox for myself and to help provide them for others and doing it for you know over two decades, and I'm still young. Like people look at me and they're they think I'm young. And it's just because I had a really early start. And so I love it. And I know that my purpose is to teach, right? Like my life life so I can teach. And when I can just accept that, that life is gonna life on me and I'm gonna have hardships so that hopefully I can find my own internal wisdom and receive the external wisdom and like let that alchemize, like I will be able to give gifts to the world. Right. And so I follow those nuggets. And when so when someone comes to me like, I need to know about this, I'm like, I just light up and like, ooh, let me tell you what I know.

SPEAKER_01

That has been amazing to watch, definitely. Um, but I would say that um throughout these courses, whether it was um she who rises or she who speaks, um, the there's always the content to focus on. And then if the content then what grows or or expands into something more, it's really um it's really been a blessing to be able to just be myself in these classes and ask the dumb question or give input. I've always been treated with value and respect for those things. And as an individual, um so I just wanted to mention that too, because sometimes you don't get that in these courses. Yeah, in other courses, yeah.

Vulnerability And Real Sacred Space

SPEAKER_00

Well, and I think that was one of the big things I learned when I started studying tantra is the acceptance of the whole self and all of your parts, right? Like I feel like I had spent many years on my own journey going, this part of me is too much, or this part of me is not enough, or this part of me is too loud, or this part of me is too small. And there's all of this internal judgment that we have, right? And I think we all have it. And that was after years of doing Reiki and years of studying the chakras and how to fix myself. How do I, how do I really come into an area of um how do I, how do I shift it, right? And so um there's almost a fixing energy to a lot of the spiritual industry. And I can you can even see it in our own content, right? You go back five years on the podcast, you go to my YouTube channel, you watch the old stuff, and it's like we work on this chakra to fix these things, we heal these things, right? And so I had to go through my own journey of going, what if it's not too much, or what if it is enough, or what if, you know, what if I can just love those parts of me that feel that way, and instead of resisting it, right? So there's been this like the the tantra stuff that showed up really allowed me to have self-acceptance, right? And I think that's like when we can come into a space and I can give that. Um I want to invite people also to be like, if you're gonna show up and you're a hot mess, show up as a hot mess. If you want to show up and you wanna be quiet, be quiet. You want to show up and and be tearful, be tearful. If you want to show up and be angry and you have things to say, let's hold space for that too. And that's not something you see all the time.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, there isn't always room for that. And I actually experienced that. Um, I must have been in Chi Who Rises. Jeez, Chi Who Rises, definitely. Um, I had I remember asking a bunch of questions that were super touchy, and you answered them, and maybe me and another were smiling and so excited, but that really touched a um a spot for two other people in the class, and you could tell that they were upset. And so we it was really nice that we could all make room for that for each other. Yeah, right. And because that's that's tough.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and figuring out how to hold the container of like, can you have two people who are smiling and two people who are upset by the same exact content? Right? Right, like there's there's like a facilitation type energy that comes with it where it's like can we all hold space and witness each other and be okay with it each other? And like that's that's an interesting thing to like recognize and hold space for and see how it can evolve, not to necessarily calm one or bring the other up. It's just like, how can we just be in witness and notice what we notice as we move through this journey together? Right? Like, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Typically, when a nerve gets struck for me, I'm really good at being happy. I'm not good at when um something strikes a nerve and ooh, I need to examine that and to have anybody see that vulnerability in me. Um, and so this is really the first time where I'll tell you the truth, I I do kind of practice that. I make sure that if that vulnerability comes up, I'm addressing it, not squishing it down and pretending. Um, and so what an opportunity. I had no idea that I could possibly, you know, um uh be in a group of people like that and actually let that part be seen. So yeah. Amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Right. Well, and I think that you've hit something there. So it's like I know um it was last fall that the first intro to tantra masterclass that we had, and that's kind of what we what some of the big premises of that class was learning how to how to hold sacred space and sacred communication right from the beginning, and learning how to recognize what feels safe in our bodies, right? Like that's so hard to like know if I'm in a group, is it okay for me to be vulnerable or is it not safe? Like, what are those signs of safety? Because the facilitator can't do it, you know, like there's there's she can do a lot, they can do a lot of the things they can support giving the signs of safety, but it's really on the participant to recognize and the willingness there of like at what point do they want to engage, how vulnerable they want to be, and what what do they need to be able to share and shine that part of themselves. And so I feel like one of the things that I do really naturally is I'm vulnerable too.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Like I feel like my vulnerability welcomes other people's vulnerability.

SPEAKER_01

And right it really um it really works actually, because I've asked you some really personal questions um um for your perspective, and you answered them vulnerably, even you know, even this morning. Um I asked you a question and you you were so honest about it, instead of putting a professional happy spin on everything, it was nice to see that you're human too.

How The Courses Evolved Over Time

SPEAKER_00

Right. I'm using skills. Right. Well, I think that's it. Like, I don't want to be a practitioner that's just all love and light, and then that's all I'm radiating because that's not being human, right? So if we're both human and divine, how can we embody both? Yes, how can we alchemize the both of it? And it can definitely give for me personally, if there's a lot of dissonance there of like, let me just be this cosmic divine being. I can just I love going there, right? And then you have the humanness of the world of like, I'm a participant in my household, I'm a participant in my community, I'm a participant in my town, I'm a participant in the the this global mess that we're in, right? Like, it's like how do we actually bring them together? And it's I'm okay saying I'm on the journey too. I'm still trying to figure that out too. And this is where I'm at, and this is what I know, and this is what's helped me, and in self-acceptance and self-love, and um my own journey of like, here's the information, here's the the data, you know. So we went from um an intro to tantra class that um was a five-week journey with, and I my partner was with me, Jim McDonald um taught though that class with me, and it was our first time teaching online, and it was the first time, it was the first time I was teaching some of that content. And some people didn't didn't necessarily realize like I hadn't actually taught certain topics in that way before, and he needed to step up and we needed it also be equal and all these things. And doing things for the first time that seems a little edgy can be hard, right? Like I remember having like on the day of the first class, we were flying home. I don't even remember where we were, but we were flying home, and I remember I had just a full-on breakdown in the airport, and you know, I am tears and I'm emotional and I'm all of these things. And Jim's like, you're you're gonna be fine. It's just like anticipatory anxiety. And he's also like, and be all of that, just be be your hot mess right now, and you know, we can practice and we can do the things and we can have sacred space beforehand, and like, and you know, I think having that level of support from my partner to kind of push some of my own edges, um, but in a really Beautiful, healthy, healing, contained way. It was really interesting to go from I'm doing intro to tantra. This is a little edgy even for me. And then going, but you know what I love, love, love to do? I love women's work and I've been in it forever. You know, I got my Reiki training at a birth center of all places, where I was apprenticing as a midwife and getting trained in Reiki. And so that's that very unique background. And I remember um when I was at midwifery school and we were writing reports, like I had, I think I had only had sex one time at that point. And I was writing a report on best sexual positions for pregnancy. Right? Like I'm like, I'm like, what am I doing? Like I look at back at that and I just think I'm so funny how sexuality has always shown up and been highlighted. Um, even when like I I ended up getting, I was a sexual sexuality education facilitator training 13 years ago in a program called Our Whole Lives, meaning there's a philosophy that we are sexual beings from the time we're born to the time we die, and everything in between every all of it, we have a sexual aspect of ourselves. And so I did this huge I traveled for this training, I was breastfeeding my daughter, she was all colicky, like I and I still did all the things. So it's like I've I've constantly had this sexuality piece show up and um and and women's work, right? Like I I love talking about stuff with women, like that's easy for me. So I was like, okay, we did the intro to Tantra, and then I was like, but I want to take it deeper. Like the intro to Tantra really was about sacred space, sacred communication, the the three keys of Tantra, the breast, sound, and movement, and then really understanding like how do we create our sacred sex life, right? That's it. That's the five weeks. And so I was like, I want to do more than that. Like, do women even know that they can be multi-orgasmic? Do they know their pleasure points? Do they know these different types of orgasms? Do they know? Like, I'm like, I love, I'm like, this is the stuff that I would feel easy teaching, but it's not, it's not in that course because it's just not long enough to cover it all. And so I put together my the first version of She Who Rises was basically on that. It was like, let me bring some information forward to kind of challenge concepts, to open and awaken to new ideas, and just notice what you notice. That's really like the tantra of it is notice what this brings up for you. Notice where your edges are, notice where this is a curiosity, and I want to explore that, or um, this is this is this is on my edge of my comfort zone, and maybe there's a boundary there. I don't want to hear about this, right? And so being even in the class was an opportunity for people to feel into notice what you notice. What does this bring up for you? And as all that stuff periculated up, by the end of that five weeks, everyone was like, we're not done. We need to talk about this.

SPEAKER_01

We extended another four weeks.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we extended it four weeks, and that's what she who speaks was. I'm like, okay, no more education. We're just gonna talk now. We're just gonna talk about stuff. And it was just um this beautiful progression.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and um, I remember um getting ready for those classes, and then they would be over so fast. Um the conversations were amazing, the topics that came up, the sharing, amazing sharing on all topics and no judgment. People learn not to be judgmental. I learned not to judge myself or anybody else. It was it was amazing to be so open-hearted and so excited. And that hour and a half went by so fast I couldn't wait for the next week to go.

SPEAKER_00

Right. And I think that's it. It's like if we can accept ourselves as women and that all women are different and find pleasure in different ways, or what we're available for and what we're not available for, or recognizing that we all have our own different stories of um trauma, sexual assault, all of these things, like it's learning like someone might come in from this angle of this is what my sexuality is because fill in the blank. And someone else comes from a very different perspective with this is what my sexuality because, and going, y'all are beautiful women, you're all beautiful people, and we can all accept where we're at. And each person gets to decide what their what their next steps are, what their growth areas are, and do you want to grow? You know, can is it are you available for expansion in these areas in these realms? And maybe just talking about sex is edgy enough, right? Like that is the in and of itself can be very growth inducing.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, absolutely. It was for me and my partner too, for the first class with you and Jim, and then when you um focused on women, I really that was amazing. And then I might actually bring a bunch of that information out to the living room after class and talk about it with my husband. It was really fun, but also uh an amazing opportunity to grow and maybe in topics that I just had suppressed because that's what we do in this culture.

Sex As Sacred Not Shameful

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. The cultural suppression is is not to talk about it so taboo. And I um it's it's been um, I think that's always something I where I think here at Moon Rising, we're always kind of trying to find where those little edgy taboo points are. Like I remember having a podcast interview um probably like five years ago, and it was on Reikian sex. And that just like the amount of energy, backlash, everything that was thrown at that. I'm like, that's exactly what I want. Like, right? I want to talk about the things that are just gonna be like rifle feathers enough to go to self-reflect. Like, why are why am I getting upset by this? Why is why do I feel activated when I hear about Reiki and sex together? Right. And so, um, because we in our culture, it's often we're taught that sex is dirty, sex is bad, right? And so putting sex with Reiki was a conflicting dissonance in our mind, right? When what if sex was holy? What if sex was sacred? Now Reiki sex is something that can be combined.

SPEAKER_01

Amazing. Yeah, good, right? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So that's why I'm I'm always kind of like, let's let's play with what do we think about these concepts? What do we what do we know about them? Where do we get the information from? Is that information that's supporting our growth and expansion, or is that something that are are holding us in a constricted energy? Yes, like that fear.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh. Absolutely. That's what I've I've felt feel like I've experienced my whole life. And um, so it was really nice to kind of come out of my out of the closet and you know, and be able to have conversations about things and not be embarrassed. Right. Whether it was in your um in your container or it was outside of my container with my husband or my partner, or I actually talk about this all the time um in in my opportunities with being around other women. Um and and even uh, you know, my LBGTQ um friends, uh, you know, I've been like, hey, can I talk about this with you? Maybe they weren't so comfortable, but some were and some have been able to open up. I love that.

SPEAKER_02

Right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Well, and I think that's it. It's like when we finally are like comfortable uh with the topic in and in our in ourselves, and that curiosity is leading us like, what do you feel about this topic? What do you know? Like, I want I want to engage with people. So it was it was like I was out camping this last weekend, and I remember there was conversations about sexuality popping up here and there, and um, someone actually came out during our camp trip, and I then she like disappeared. I was like, I wanted to talk to her, right? But it's kind of like I just like can't we all just keep our clothes on and talk about sex? Like that's just what kept coming through my head. I'm like, I just want to keep all of our clothes on and have the conversations. Like, um, I think talking about it, talking about taboo topics, talk talking about things that feel edgy in practice can be softened by just talking. Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_01

A little bit of vulnerability, and here's what I experienced, or general interest in whatever is being introduced by somebody. Um, that's that's the part that I've loved and learned so much from. Um and maybe modeled um what I saw with you um as an accepting and non-judgmental place, you know, with with with bringing topics up like this and being comfortable with myself, because that was huge. That was a huge transition to be comfortable.

SPEAKER_00

Right. I think that's it. I think that's like that's huge for so many of us. And we can stop judging ourselves of this is what I like, this is what I desire, this is what my fears are, this is what my boundaries are. Like all of those are very tantric practices of just getting familiar with yourself and what it is that you desire and being able to communicate those desires, those fears, and boundaries with others, right? And I think that's a practice.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it is, isn't it? You know, I know I um I've been looking forward to the next class um because I've kind of gotten away from that, because life, life comes in, right? It's whether it's mowing the lawn or getting the groceries in the refrigerator, or you know, you cut sometimes you lose contact contact with a lot of people because of all the things you you're doing, and then you get you lose contact with yourself.

Psychic Protection Starts In The Body

SPEAKER_00

With yourself. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so this, so basically, just to kind of give everyone um the framework of how it kind of evolved, it went from intro to tantra with my partner, which we've now held twice, and we we hope to do it again. So if you're interested in having an introduction to Tantra on sacred space communication, breath sound and movement, and really how to create a sacred sex life that's going to be available again in the future. My inspiration would be like, I want to do, I want to have a women's class and take it to the next level, which we did. And we had a five-week She Who Rises, where everyone at the end of the five weeks was like, Well, we're not done yet. Literally, everyone in the class is like, can we have more? What's your capacity to do more? And at that time, I had four weeks more on the calendar that I could add in. So we did another four weeks and we called it She Who Speaks. And I brought in topics for conversation every week. So we created a sacred space, I would bring up a topic, and then we would talk about it. And then at the end of class, we would do a somatic movement therapy. And that really helped with the integration piece, right? So I feel like the first five weeks of She Who Rises was a lot. I feel like I um it was a way, it was a lot of context and five weeks. And then we really needed those four weeks to integrate it. We needed to talk about it, to feel into it, to move into it, because there just wasn't time every week to do all the somatic practices too, and she who rises. So that's been going on. That that's what has kind of led us to this point where now I had someone local, and I teach a feminine activation class here every Wednesday morning. And in that class, we do a brief sacred space ceremony. We do a rose chair where we really get to connect with one another as women. And then the majority of class is the somatic movement piece. Sometimes it's yoni yoga, some where we're like using yoni eggs, sometimes it's breathwork practice, sometimes it's different kinds of meditation, most of it's some type of like focusing on the energy movement within and around us, right? And so we do this, these really tantric yogic exercises, and then we close space. And so one of the women who's regular there approached me and she was like, What about psychic protection? How do I understand? How can I help myself and others in psychic protection? Like she, you know, so there's this piece of we need to, we need to meet these two together. We need to marry these two concepts together because I a lot of people may or may not realize this, but one of my areas of specialty is intrusive entity removal. It's in ghost work, it's in um demonic depossessions, it's in like all of this, you know, pretty quote unquote like scary stuff. And I've been doing it probably 10 years, you know, and so working with ghosts, helping ghosts cross over, connect like, and so it was really interesting. So I have one of my regular students who are like, I want to understand this, I want to know, I want to learn about psychic protection and how do I break curses and all these things? And then I literally have had a string of these types of clients: ghost, intrusive entities, um, like back to back, like three right in a row. And I haven't had that in many years, not like an intensive like this week, this two weeks, we're gonna have three or four clients all on the same topic. And so I was like, okay, get I get a hello, I hear you, like the sign from the universe, like I hear that this is something that I'm supposed to bring forward. And how because as soon as I had the question um come to me of like, how do what do we do for psychic protection? I'm like, this, this is what we do. We do the feminine activation work, we do the energy movement, we we strengthen our field, we move the energy through because when we're in an expanded state of energy, our heart is open, our chakras are beaming when we're when the fear and the constriction is absent. You don't have energy cord attachments, you don't have intrusive entities moving in. You're able to break the cursives. Right?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, excellent. I'm so excited about this.

SPEAKER_00

So, like CZ hasn't heard quite what I'm creating, but it's we're bringing in pieces of the tantra, the breath sound and the movement. We're bringing pieces in on understanding our bodies as women and how do we make things pleasurable and how do we self-accept ourselves of what our desires are, what our fears are, what our boundaries are, and really like focusing on those boundaries. When we have good boundaries with ourselves, with others, it also transfers to boundaries in the psychic field as well. Right? So, this particular variation of She Rises is not five weeks, it's three months. And the reason why I'm doing this is because I want to bring in the somatic. I want to bring in the piece of we need to understand what's going on inside of us is we're going to be reflected externally. So the more we do the somatic practice, the more we move the energy through and release what doesn't serve us, release the fears, release the judgments, release the attachments, release, release, release, then you are just this beaming toroidal fluidly flow. And and it's it's like you can you can walk around in that and then recognize if someone's in a really low, fearful place and you come into their energy, it's like a a Venn diagram. Are you going to allow their constrictions, their fears to influence your energy flow? It happens all the time. Yes, it does, right? So then we get back to the practice. We go back to the practice of our breath work, you go back to our expansion energy, and then we meet the world again. And it becomes easier and easier and easier when we recognize their energy is depleted, they're in contraction, and I can just as an empath give to them and try to fix it, but they're just going to do the same thing, they're going to deplete on their own. Right. So, how do we have those boundaries?

SPEAKER_01

Right. You pick up, I think as as women, you pick up everybody's energy and you know, and you you try to fix and help and and support, and then now you're carrying theirs as well. Right. I know that's that's my problem.

SPEAKER_00

One of them, maybe, but you're not alone in that. I think so many people in the spiritual industry are empaths, and this is the mindset that we've been cultivated into. Our culture supports women being the carriers. We're not all that way. And there, there I believe there's a better way of really recognizing this is your journey, this is your part of your path of learning and discovery. And so, if you're suffering, I'm gonna be over here doing my yoni yoga. And if you want to come join me, you can, right? Like you be, you can you can breathe with me, we can do some practices, but you're responsible for your own energy, and I'm responsible for mine. And so when shit hits the fan, because life is going to life, what do we do about it? Right. And so we can wallow in it, we can stay in it, and you can self-accept in that. Like, I don't think that's also like we come from a non-judgmental point of going, I am a hot mess today, and I'm going to be a hot mess today, and I'm gonna cry today, I'm gonna be angry today, I'm just gonna be in my emotions and I'm gonna love myself and allow it. But we're not getting stuck in it, right? It's we have to recognize, like, yeah, here's our zone of tolerance of like this is what I'm comfortable in, this is my comfort zone. And when we get into those hyper-aroused states of anxiety, of overthinking, like, can we move back into a zone of tolerance? Like, how do we not get stuck? Right. And versus a hypo aroused state where we're on the depressive end, where we're freezing up, where we're not engaging, we don't want to get stuck there either in depression, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yes, yes.

Chakras Meet Polyvagal Basics

SPEAKER_00

We have to understand the nervous system too, right? So that's also going to be included in this next variation of she who rises. Is I'm gonna do um a polyvagal theory understanding with the chakras. So, so we're bringing it to the next level, right? Because I think there's there's a meaning of of this where it's like we we need to understand how energy flows, what the chakras are, where um, where and why things get stuck, and what does our nervous system do and why, right? And recognizing that we can we can flow through the different energy states of being hyper-aroused in our zone of tolerance and being hypo-roused. What's movable, that's what we want. We don't want to deny these different aspects of our side, but we want to be able to move through them to get back into our zone of tolerance. And when we can, and when we can fluidly move, then that zone of tolerance expands, that comfort zone expands. The edges move out, right?

SPEAKER_01

Excellent, yes, yes, much needed. I think, I think as um, I don't want to call myself a healer, but a facilitator of healing, um, I think this is just the key to what we need when we go forward with this work.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Right. Right, yeah. So I think that's where it's like uh whether you're a practitioner or you're a beginner, you can take this course, right? Because I I really believe that if you want to expand your energy and feel safe within it, how do we how do we move? How do we breathe? How do we sound? And how is that optimizing our energy within and our energy flow without so that when life lifes, we can bounce back quicker and not get so derailed.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly, exactly. And and that ties in with some questions that had come up during She Who Rises or She Who Who Speaks actually, as you're working um within somebody's field, you know, doing your Reiki um thing, um, you pick up things and how can you, you know, untach, detach, you know. Do I call that a chord that I'm detaching and letting go back or you know, or oh, I didn't even realize that stuck. And the next day I'm still carrying this around. And I, you know, that awareness sometimes escapes me. And so um I've been, I think that's that's a a hole that I've been missing in my training, is yes, is that particular subject. So gosh, I'm really excited about this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because I think that's it. It's like we've all been there. Like some of us may have pick up things and not realize them, realize it quick enough, and other pick up and realize it quickly, and that's great. And then there's some that they're they're they've gotten into a practice where it's like this is their stuff, right? I don't like I I had a client um not too long ago, but it was an intense session. She was energetically purging, you know, put put the sage smoke and a feather over her, and her whole body went to convulsions type purging, right? And so, and when I can recognize I'm the facilitator of the experience, this isn't my stuff to deal with because I've got the spirit guides and the angels and the power animals, and I have all these heavy lifters, is what I like to call them. It helps tremendously. Like I was doing a session for Jim last night, right? And I could see his power animal show up and be like, You've got all that. Like, I don't want to because that's the hardest is when you do do Reiki on someone close to you that you love, that you'll you're so willing to take on all of their pain and troubles. Those are the hardest ones. It's so much easier to do to just do a client and be like, well, that's their their story. But when it's your partner, when it's your kid, when it's your parent, you're more energetically inclined to absorb their stuff because I can transmute it, I can do it for them. Right? Yes, right? And so I had to be, and I so I don't do a lot of sessions um on people who are really close to me, sometimes for that reason, and too close to it. But you know, yesterday Jim had a pretty intense headache, and I was like, all right, let me just let me just give you some Reiki, it'll be good. But I had to very clearly start my session with intention, make sure that all really like one of my intentional statements is all releases go to Mother Gaia for her reuse and recycling, her composting. And then I do the session, I'm constantly pulling off and sending it to the earth and making sure that either it's seeping into the earth and being composted, or there's a power animal there ready to take in. Oh, lovely. Yes. That's my favorite way. Like, see, okay, I see his power animal there and they are dealing with it. So I could do a full session for Jim yesterday and walk away from that and feel fine. Right? Like I could have got the headache, like I get headaches real easily. My in my first marriage, it was ridiculous. Well, actually, it was actually, I should say, my last marriage, my second marriage. He could get a headache, then I would get a headache, then he would get a headache, and I would get a headache. I was like, this is freaking ridiculous. We're just passing it back and forth. If we can move the energy, we can ground the energy. And that was a big lesson of like, if we can move the energy, we can ground the energy.

SPEAKER_01

Ah uh.

SPEAKER_00

Right. And so when we can have this, this is energy in motion. How do I take it and bring it to the earth to be composted?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Uh huh. Yeah. What other questions came up for you? Do you have anything else for me?

SPEAKER_01

Um I think that I just I just wanted to make sure I hit on a couple things. Um I think I spoke to being fearless and non-jud and experiencing non-judgmentalness from you. That's even the right way to put that. And then um without shame and honesty. Um so my observation is that there's this constant expansion for you. You meet your life's challenges, but you still continue, you're still able to expand instead of going to that um um victim victim mode. And you know, that's such an easy thing to do. And I'm sure there's so much more to this than than what I see, but um that is the the example that's being set while you bring these things forward. And I also love the days where you might, it might be a lot for you, but you still show up for us to present and let and let things go. So it it it sets that example. And so I just wanted to maybe speak to that a little bit more because you uh or as we go forward and we try to find teachers, um, you know, and I know we're supposed to wait the teacher will come, right? But I don't I don't always have the patience to wait for that. I have yeah, things I want to move forward with. And so it's been um it's been an excellent experience to grow and then grow with you and um see that honesty. And so honesty in in your state and your emotions and and mine as well. And so um anyway, I think that I don't have any more questions. I'm just excited. And and human design is something that keeps coming up. So I'm I'm I uh I'm super curious about that.

Microcosmic Orbit And Moving Reiki

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's something I can't teach at this point at all. But I could probably I have I do have a really amazing gal who who does breeding. So if you want the contact, let me know. But yeah, I feel like that is something that's so important to me is the authenticity of who I am. Right. And not um not trying to shy away from the aspects of me. Because when I can be all of me, even if in class I'm having a rough day, I can show up and be like, it's a rough day and I'm here for you. I'm putting on my mentor cap, my facilitator cap, and we're gonna still we're gonna do it and we're gonna go through it. And oftentimes when I can do that, I can be like, yeah, this horrible thing just happened in my life and I'm still here, being in the energy because I know, like I know, like I know my purpose is to teach. So when I step into the energy of teaching, my energy expands. Right. And so it's like finding that joy, finding that passion. And so even if I'm having a rough day, when I step into it, it's like the alchemization is happening because I'm getting expansive by doing the thing, and that is my purpose.

SPEAKER_01

Beautiful. Yeah. Right.

SPEAKER_00

And so we're kind we're constantly finding those places and spaces of what is the what puts my energy into an expansive state. Right. So, yeah, there's a lot of different somatic practices that we could do. There's a lot of o show meditations that we could do. There's a lot of, you know, breath work that we could do. There's all kinds of practices that we can do to flow the energy, right? Like one of my favorite practices that I've done my whole Reiki career is microcosmic orbit, where we envision an energy flow moving up the back, circulating up the top to the top of the head, and then exhaling, visioning it going down the front of your body. So it's external. You're watching this energy flow moving up and then down. So it moves down past the perineum, like through your legs, up your tailbone, up your back, and exhale down. So you're breathing up and you're breathing down. And so this is that mirroring of those two energies: what energy is coming rising from the earth up, what energy is coming from the divine down, and how can I breathe with it? Right. So I this was part of Diane Stein's Essential Reiki that came out around 2000, and it was the first Reiki book that published the symbols. Now, the book itself has a lot of great information and a lot of information that I don't like. So I'm just gonna put that out there. And as it was pretty much the first published Reiki manual with all of the pieces, it became like the standard in the early 2000s, which is how I got introduced to it. And they had these other practices. This is a Taoist practice, a breathwork practice. It has nothing really to do with foundational Reiki, but it's an energy movement practice that the author thought she would include, right? And so that I feel a lot like that same essence of what I how I come to Reiki. Like there's a Reiki energy, but there's this energy movement. How can we bring in energy movement? So I love doing this microcosmic orbit, breathing up the back, exhaling down the front, as if you see an energy ball. Maybe you make an energy ball, you put a Reiki symbol in it, and then you visualize it. Now I'm marrying two concepts together. Now it's a Reiki experience, and that that let's say you have the choku ray floating in the ball, and as it moves over the front of your body, it's healing the chakras from the sub front side. Inhaling up the back, now it's healing the chakras on the back side and it's moving, right? And so I've been doing this energy practice for two decades, more than two decades. And when I first got introduced to Tantra, I saw it, um, saw the example of it done in a feminine way for the first time, meaning we're gonna undulate our spine to move the energy flow up the back, exhale down the front front. But now we're in motion, our body is in motion. And so many of the Reiki traditional practices, straight back spine, don't move. They're masculine, right? And so when we can bring them into a feminine movement of where is the energy and how am I moving my body to bring the energy up, it changes the dynamic of the same concept. And it just blew my mind. I was like, now I'm bringing this to a whole new level, and it's so this feels completely expansive because I'm doing it the way I want to do it, meaning I'm moving the way my body wants to move in support of that energy flow. And traditional Reiki, which I love and teach and all of the things, can be very stiff. And so I love bringing in like, how do we move with the energy? And so now when you get into sessions, it's like I'm providing Reiki, but maybe I'm not doing the traditional hand positions. Maybe I'm moving with where my hands want to flow to. I'm finding the places and spaces that need energy movement support. Right. And so it's just like, is there a right or wrong? Like, what if we just stop judging?

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_00

Can we just stop judging about the right way to do it and trust like my body is flowing? I am tapped into the Reiki energy, I'm tapped into the earth energy. This is how it wants to move. And I feel like so much of that is enhanced by the tantric work because it's all the breath, sound, and movement is so welcome. However, you want to sound, however, you want to move. Here are some breath work practices that are gonna support the energy movement, right? So it's all about energy movement. Like I feel like I've all like I consistently come back to the thing that inspires me and I'm passionate about the most is the energy movement. How do we move energy within our body and into our field and around us, right? How do we do that for so to support our clients? Right. And so it's like if we can drop some of the I don't know, the rules, like so. Maybe I am a bit of a rebel, whatever. Like, that's not new news, right? So it's kind of like my it's an invitation of like, can you do it for yourself? Like, that's always the first step. It's like we all have energy within us, we all have attachments, we all have things that we might want to release that don't support us, the limiting beliefs, whatever it is. And how can I say yes to moving through that energy so it doesn't get stuck?

Dates Webinar And How To Join

SPEAKER_01

Excellent. Yes. Yes, yeah, and that promise every day. So yeah, wonderful. Thank you. This has been a great conversation.

SPEAKER_00

It has been a really great conversation, and that probably is the premise of this next variation of She Who Rises. We start on May 26th. We're gonna be going Tuesday nights after each four-week module. There's gonna be a one-week integration week. And so we'll be getting into the energy flow, the nervous system, the psychic protection, the somatic exercises, like all of that's included. And there's two weeks of integration in there so that you really can review, feel out feels. Can you do practices on your own? Like, can you can you continue it? That's that's a trick. It's like I you can come to class and you can do the exercise, but when do you get it? When do you make it a priority for yourself outside of class? Right? So everything that I do, it's like these are bite-sized little kisses of something you can do for 10, 15 minutes and see how your energy shifts very rapidly. So I'm really excited. It's gonna be great. Um, it's I feel like this is exactly how I want to spend my summer. And know that because that we have those integration weeks in there, I mean, that's one of the reasons why we're doing it on Tuesday night. So hopefully we're not hitting any major, um major vacations or things, but know that the integration weeks are catch up weeks too. So if you're gone, you can catch up. If you need to check in with me, we can. But the calls are two hours long, so we have plenty of time in class to feel the things, do the things, and there's the pre-recorded lessons. So you're watching at home. Some of those lessons are going to come from the intro to tantra coursework. Some of those classes are gonna be from the previous variation of She Who Rises, right? And so we're having some of this other information come in. And some of the information is on chakras that I've pulled in from Soul Rising, right? There's all of these people pieces that I'm like, what do I want my students to know so that we can bring it further in the in-person portion of the class? So there's your little, your little taste of my my idea of this. And then if you want to join me this Wednesday, I'm gonna be doing awaken your energy, strengthen your field webinar on Wednesday, May 13th from 6 to 7 p.m. Mountain Time. So that's 5 Pacific, 8 Eastern. I'll be putting that out there today so that you can um register through Zoom. It will be a Zoom call. And that will give you a little more deeper dive into what we've kind of discussed here. Like I want to give people an idea of what to kind of expect of how to understand energy flow. Because I think there is a missing piece of um, I can move energy, I can do my Reiki session, my my Reiki hand positions, but how do I actually under how do I how do I understand the chakras and the energy movement through the chakras and through our field, our auric field, right? And so we're gonna kind of get into the the structure of it so that people have that premise of going, this is because this is this is answering the why. Like, why is this important? This and then once you get it, it's like, oh, well, yeah, okay. We need we need to do that.

SPEAKER_01

Perfect.

unknown

Perfect.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I just want to say thank you for inviting me to have this conversation. Really means um so much. And I'm glad I get to share it with you.
