Awaken Your Energy And Build Psychic Protection Through Chakra Flow
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Your energy field isn’t just “vibes” floating around you. It’s a living system that reflects your boundaries, your self-worth, and the places where you’ve learned to contract for safety. We walk through a grounded, usable way to understand chakras as interlocking energy centers and why one stuck “gear” can ripple into the rest of your life, from survival stress and people pleasing to muted pleasure and creative shutdown.
Christine Rene brings decades of energy healing and Reiki experience into a clear framework: root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown as a practical roadmap for emotional health, physical tension, and spiritual alignment. We also explore the earth star chakra and sun star chakra as powerful connection points, helping you release and ground into Earth energy while also receiving guidance and nourishment from divine intelligence.
Then we connect the dots to Tantra as an embodied method, not a concept: breath, sound, and movement to shift energy through the “inner flute” and restore flow. This is where psychic protection gets real. When unresolved trauma and limiting beliefs create weak spots in the auric field, cords and intrusive energy can hook in more easily. When your toroidal field is strong, you feel steadier, clearer, and harder to knock off center, without bypassing your shadows.
Join us for She Who Rises starting May 26th to activate and energize your field, expand your pleasure, and enliven your psychic protection.

Welcome And Webinar Setup
SPEAKER_00Welcome to Wisdom Rising, the podcast of Moonrising Shamanic Institute. Join shamanic Reiki practitioners Christine Rene and Chantel Ochoa as we dance between worlds of shamanism, mysticism, and energy healing. Each week we illuminate your path to self-sourced wisdom and attune you to the whispers of wisdom rising from within. Welcome back to another wisdom rising episode. This episode is on a webinar presentation that we did last week called Awaken Your Energy, Strengthen Your Field. And it's regarding our chakras, our energy fields, and really how this dynamic understanding of the troidal flow can really enhance and strengthen our energy fields to create a psychic protection. And so we really dive into why is this information important? Why are understanding the chakras important and how releasing the attachments and the traumas and the limiting beliefs and all of the things that stagnate our energy is so incredibly important. So I wanted to give you the preface that this is a webinar presentation replay, and there is information about our upcoming She Who Rises course that starts on May 26th. Find that information in the show notes. And I hope you enjoy this version of the webinar presentation. Enjoy.
Christine’s Path Into Energy Work
SPEAKER_00Welcome, welcome, welcome to Awaken Your Energy, Strengthen Your Field. So a little bit about me. I'm Christine Renee, and I have been studying energy for decades. This is something that I really absolutely love is that my curiosity continues to come back to what is happening within the body? Where is my awareness in the body? How is it moving? What is how is it connected to my emotions? How's it connected to my physical health? How do I support myself in this? And so I was attuned to Reiki back in 2002 at a birth center. And I had classes, Freiki classes, but it was also very much an apprentice apprenticeship style of really recognizing the women I was sitting with and where their energies were at and how could I respond to them energetically? And that is my foundation of my practice, is really in the women's world. And so I then um continued my energy studies. I was, I've been doing Reiki for a long time and really got into under studying the chakras and studying shamanism. So I have been studying shamanism for well over 15 years and really understanding how to connect with spirit guides and power animals and journey into non-ordinary reality to have a greater understanding and support of my life and supporting my clients and those types of things. And meditation was always there as well. Chakras were always there as well. It was really understanding that the chakras were the roadmap. So if I could then understand my physical health issues and apply the energy model of the chakras of going, if I can support the processing and healing and expansion of these emotions, how is it going to affect the physical dis-ease in my body? Hyphenate the word, dis-ease. And saw in myself a huge shift. I was seeing shifts in my clients. My clients were asking for more. And I started my full-time practice in 2016, and I was finding myself repeating myself a lot to clients again and again around chakras and how they work and how they support us and how we can tune into them and how we can help support their flow. And with that, I um I started doing chakra coaching and chakra meditations and kind of combining some of these aspects of how can I combine Reiki meditation, shamanism, and chakras and offer classes. And so I was offering shamanic guided meditations into the chakras on a pretty regular basis. Um, I continued a deep dive into my Reiki studies. I've been to Japan twice on pilgrimages and has sat with Zen masters and head priests and all kinds of um spiritual leaders in Japan. And it was phenomenal and life transformative to deepen my practice in that way, and then go on to continue to learn the somatic therapy and eventually into Tantra, Tantra. And so I really want to give this opportunity to kind of share how my adult life has kind of brought me to where I am and that recognizing that when we can understand the chakras, the energy movement, we can then really live a more ecstatic and blissful life. And we are hardwired to be in blissful, ecstatic states. And how do we honor all of these pieces of ourselves? Of how can we be celebrating our bloom, our celebrations, our whims, but not denying the aspects of ourselves that are challenges and that are thorny in our lives, because there is this beautiful thing that happens when we can accept all of ourselves, accept our shadows, accept the darkness, and accept the brightness. The far the deeper down we go in that dark night of the soul and that alchemization of the energy of honoring those hard places that may have been developed from childhood traumas or experiences in adulthood that has created limiting beliefs and have created these things. We get to the foundations of those, then we can really learn to love ourselves in a different way, in a different aspect. And then doing so can really allow ourselves to fully come into our blossom, our blooms, and honor that that areas of our life that we get to celebrate. So this my perspective is really in loving all of our parts and accepting all of our parts. And that is a journey. That is a journey. It's not like one day I woke up and I was like, I love my body and I love all these things. I'm like, it's been a process. It's been a process. And as that process continues, my life continues to expand. And I my enjoyment and passion for teaching is that I really want to honor other people, other women, to find their places and spaces of expansion and understanding as
Chakras As A Healing Roadmap
SPEAKER_00well. And so what we're going to be covering today in this presentation are what are chakras? What is tantra? What does Tantra have to do with the chakras? How do we move energy to optimize flow? And how internal states reflect our energetic protection. Okay. And then we'll have a little somatic practice and we'll have time for a QA and um a share on our upcoming, my upcoming course called She Who Rises. I'm just going to do a brief explanation because I've got much bigger presentations on this, but I want to give you just a taste if you're new to this concept. So, what are the chakras? They are energy centers within the body. They're translated from Sanskrit to wheel. So if you can see the wheels and the gears moving, when one wheel gets stuck, if when one wheel gets um stuck in the cogs, when it gets um stagnate, then it affects the other wheels next to it. It can't continue, the gears can't continue to move. And so what happens is when we have an energetic something that happens in, let's say, our solar plexus, when our self-esteem gets belittled, when we are put down, when we shrink ourselves down to make others feel comfortable, it then affects our heart chakra and the way our capacity to receive and give love. It affects our sacral chakra, our availability to create and to feel the pleasures of life, for example. And so these energy wheels work with one another. And the ones that we're going to primarily focus on is the seven primary energy centers along the spine. And so, to give you a brief overview, root chakra is really towards our primal instincts, our survival needs, having all of our needs met for food, for shelter, for getting from one place to the next. So having a vehicle, our material needs, money, you know, that's all very much root chakra. And it really is about feeling safe. Am I safe or do I need to go into a primal defense mode to protect myself? It's the fight and flight that comes out. Okay, so if this is root chakra, it wants to have all of its needs met, it wants to feel safe. Whereas, and and root chakra is very tied to the element of earth. Now, sacral chakra is the element of water. It's about the flow, it's about the receptivity, it's about the movement of energy within that allows the creative conditions to create, to feel pleasure, to enjoy life. It wants, it has a very like childlike wonder to it. It's the childlike play, it's the spontaneity. It it feels very, it feels very, it feels yummy, is what I want to say. It's like it's yummy in the fact that it really does want to explore pleasure. It wants to explore its creativity, it wants to make art. It wants to find that flow and receptivity, it wants to receive. It's very, has a very feminine element to it. Versus solar plexus, which has the element of fire, has a more masculine element to it. It wants to, that fire wants to drive us. It's the motivation factor, it's the identity. This is who I am, and this is who I'm not. I'm gonna say no to the things that I don't want to do. It's the no of setting healthy boundaries. It's letting go of what doesn't serve me. And so that solar plexus really wants to come into a place of this is who I am, this is my identity. And recognizing all those places and spaces that we're pushed into identity structures that aren't in alignment. And so it has to do with our self-esteem, our self-respect, and our self-love. And so this it's an internal recognition of uh I deserve, I am worthy of. And when the solar plexus is shrunk or depleted or um stagnate or constricted, it often is showing up in a way of low self-esteem, low self-love, low self-care. And so this is something to be aware of, especially as empaths, where oftentimes we're giving our energy away and people pleasing pleasing measures for that validation to fill ourselves up rather than letting it be internal. Okay, so then heart chakra is our space of the element of air. It is our space of love, relationships, living life out loud. It is about receiving love, support, and care from others and giving love, care, and support to up to others. So receiving and giving. So we have this to this flow within ourselves and the in the heart chakra. And it really wants to have it an expression of love. So grief oftentimes finds themselves in the lungs, which are affected by heart chakra, that love that has no place to go, it also affects our immune system. So the heart chakra is really finding that balance. So if sacral is our feminine energy, our our solar plexus is our masculine energy, our heart chakra is the marriage of the two, of finding the balance of how these two elements within us come together. And how do we breathe through it? How do we let that energy flow of give and take? Okay. And then the throat chakra is about our expression of communication. It's what are we communicating in terms of needs, desires, wants, fears, boundaries? And how do we hear others and their desires, fears, wants, boundaries, um, needs, right? And so are we listening to really hear the individual and other individual, or are we hearing and listening to just respond? And so the the throat chakra is actually very dynamic because we can create a lot of spaces in our body of tightness in the throat and the neck and the shoulders and the jaw and the tongue, of like biting our tongue, holding back, not speaking up because we have this need, this this like not being able to fully express ourselves. And how do we express ourselves without offending? How do we express ourselves without um pushing people away? How do we express ourselves where we're gonna be honored and what we're trying to communicate? So the throat chakra can get a little complicated, and its element is ether. And so it oftentimes, as soon as we move up in the heart, we're kind of more in this higher vibe energy of the upper chakras. Now, the third eye between the brow is about perception. It's about our imagination, it's about how do we see the world, our spiritual gifts, how do we show up in all of that? And so I like to see it where if you were gonna put rosy-colored glasses on, how would that affect the way you see the world versus if you put on dark shades and you think everything in terms of negativity, right? Like that affects your perception of life. And so we have our perception, we have our spiritual gifts of like seeing into the beyond, seeing, being clairvoyant, being clair audience, having those spiritual gifts arise is coming through our perception of the third eye. It also is our learning capacity. Are we open-minded or closed-minded? Are we open to having conversations or are we not? Right. So third eye is um is very dynamic in this way. And then we move into the crown. The crown is the center of light where we can connect with all that is. It is our connection with the big picture, our soul's purpose, our soul contracts, our timelines. And really seeing the bigger picture of things versus root chakra is all about the details. It wants to know what's on the clock and on the schedule. The crown chakra is I am one with everything. I'm one with nature, I'm one with the divine, I'm one with the universe. Separation is an illusion. Like these are all very um crown chakra concepts. And so we have this, these energy flows that are connected to each chakra has an emotional, physical, and spiritual attributes that can combine to form a roadmap to healing, to energy expansion. And each chakra within the body has a nervous system plexi. And so there's an electromagnetic field that is created here as well. So we're not going to get into all of that today, but just know that there's something more than VR energy centers. There's also a physical nervous system component as
Earth Star And Sun Star Power
SPEAKER_00well. The other two chakras I want to introduce that you may not be familiar with is the earth star chakra and the sun star chakra. So the earth star beneath the body, usually six to eight inches below the body, is our connection highway between our physical body, our energy in the physical, to the earth source energy. So it's this connection of like I'm connecting and releasing through my legs, through my feet down into the earth. And there's a it's like a communication highway of I'm gonna bring this down to the earth to be composted, to be transmitted, to fully release, to have it be composted, and being able to receive the gifts of the earth, bringing the energy up through our root system, it travels through our earth star chakra and can really help us feel grounded if we can visualize our earth star behind our feet, directly underneath us versus it's off five feet or something like it. We can feel unbalanced when it's not directly under our feet. And so when it is open and flowing, we're we're able to have a connection and a communication with the earth in a greater way. Now, the sun, same thing goes with the sun star above our head. Sometimes this is called the eighth chakra, and it's about six to eight inches above our head, and it's also a communication highway. If our we have our consciousness, this is our super consciousness. This is our connection to divine communication. This is when we get downloads, it's coming from the divine through our sun star, meant for us, and then it's gonna bless us and come down into our chakra system. So both the sun star and the earth star are really about connecting to these different sources of energy. The earth star is going to be connected to the earth, the sun star is going to be connected to the divine, divine intelligence and bringing that energy in. And so we can recognize that we have two major, abundant, powerful sources available to us. The one that's underneath our feet being the earth, the thing that we live on. And the earth is here radically to support us in each step that we take, nourishing our bodies. And so when we can be receptive and receiving from the earth, we can allow that that power source into our energy field. And the same with the sun star. And many of the many of my audience are Reiki practitioners, and this is the one that we hyper focus on in Reiki is that we have this availability of energy source from the divine to come into our perception, into our fields, to fill our bodies and then overflow out our hands as Reiki. Okay. So know that we have two. We have the earth and we have the divine as energy sources always available to us. Okay.
Tantra Keys For Moving Energy
SPEAKER_00Now, I want to bring in the concept of Tantra. So, what is Tantra? There are so many different answers out there, and there's not one right answer. You're going to find a lot of different definitions. But for me, Tantra is the experiential process of expanding individual aliveness by cultivating conscious awareness, the Shiva aspect, and energetic flow, the Shakti aspect, using the three keys of breath, sound, and movement. Okay, so this is about experiencing life and then having the awareness of what's happening in my chakras, what's happening in my body, what do I feel? What do I notice as I'm going through this practice? As well as am I able to get into the flow of allowing the energy to move? And how can I use these three keys of Tantra, breath, sound, and movement to enhance that flow? What shows up in my awareness then? So we're going to bring these two concepts together. While we have the seven primary chakras moving through the body, it creates this what I like to call inner flute. Now, the inner flute is a term from the Sky Dancing Institute, a Tantra school. And as you breathe and move and sound, you can bring that connection from the earth star, from the earth below, through that inner flute and up into your crown, up into the sun star. And so from the yogic perspective, this is called Shishuna. And most many tantrikas are practicing tantra to move the energy through the chakras for their expansion to obtain enlightenment or to obtain a Satori experience. This is one of the original concepts of the the Buddhist Tantra um methodology, right? And this isn't across the board in the Tantra world today, but there is something too of can I create this uh energy from the earth into my pelvic region and creating a the sexual core energy? Can I create this fire within me to bring it through my chakras, through my body? Can I direct it to the places and spaces that it's needed? And by doing so, really clearing any stagnancy, any um constrictions within the chakras. And so I just want to touch a little bit more on this inner flute. So the inner flute naturally flows from the root to the crown chakra. And breathing, sounding, and moving your body intentionally supports that rise from within. So as we cultivate this sexual energy at the core, when it moves up through the root into your sacral chakra, you can learn how to then move it to the rest of your body. We can consciously direct where the energy goes for our expansion. So noticing how we feel in each chakra helps us get specific information for us to feel into, consider, and integrate, allowing the energy to move throughout our entire system. So this is one of the things I really love practicing is recognizing that we have these huge power powerful sources of energy. And can we build the conscious awareness of them so that we can optimize our energy flow? Because when we optimize our energy flow, we can then expand our energy field. And so this is what that kind of feels like. Okay. So we each chakra has its own energy circuit, its own flow. And when it's optimal, it's in and when it's in its most expanded state, it feels it feels delicious. It feels like it's alive, it's open, it's flowing. And the each chakra is going to respond to the other. So when there's a constriction, when there's a limiting belief, when there is something going on, then there might be a something in the field that's constricting it. And that's going to influence the other chakras and it's going to influence our work field. Okay. So when are one of the things I want to highlight here is that the chakras aren't as black and white as we might read on the internet. It's not as black and white as we might read in the book. These are energy fields that are interacting with one another. And so you can kind of even notice like there is this overlap in this diagram. Now I had to make it because there was nothing available online that I could be like, how is this working? Right. And I have this golden thread that goes through all of them that would go to the Earth star, that would go to the sun star. And then it influenced how this larger field is created around
Toroidal Field And Psychic Protection
SPEAKER_00us. So optimally, it will look like this diagram at the bottom here, this toroidal flow. And in that toroidal flow, when it's optimal, you feel completely expansive. You feel completely connected to the divine. You feel completely connected to the earth. However, when this is this is, I would also say, like, this is fairly rare because we don't live in a box. We life is gonna life. There's gonna be things that come into your life, challenges that come into our life, soul contract issues that come into our life to bring us challenges, to bring us life lessons, to bring us learnings. And so when our we have energetic cords and attachments and things happening in our system, there is a uh a reflection of that. So if if our chakra is feeling constricted, let's say that you had, I'll speak for myself, a a marriage that was very emotionally abusive and it's taken you years to kind of move through healing that, that constriction of like, I'm not good enough, I'm never gonna be enough, I'm I'm always a burden, like whatever the messaging was, that constriction of that energy of the solar plexus is then going to make a divot in your auric field. That divot, that concave of energy is the weak point. So that when someone else comes around and throws an energy attachment, uh, an energetic cord, it's gonna easily, more easily get through and hook into your solar plexus because you're not uh fully in the in the best expression of that solar plexus of thinking, I'm a badass, I'm untouchable, I know what I want, I know what I deserve, I'm worthy. Like when you have that fullness energy, there's nothing that can push in on it. But if you inherently believe that you're not worthy, that you're invaluable, you're unlovable, then your oric field is gonna reflect that weakness. It's gonna be constricted. And that that weakness in the energy field then bumps up against other people that might be energetic vampires, it's gonna bump up against different entities. There's going to be things that are gonna then be more likely to influence you in your energy field. And I think this is the piece that most people don't talk about. We talk often about why, like what we're supposed to do. If our chakras are stagnant, if our chakras are blocked, then we're supposed to find the balance, find the flow, um, amplify. We're supposed to do these things, but why? It feels good, yes, but why are we doing it is so that we have this system in place of energetic protection. And when we are in our optimal flow state, there's less fear and less worry about other things pushing in on us because we're we're so uh we're so energetically solid. It is our our auric field is our shield, if you will. Okay. And so when that shield is in full force, you're you're fucking untouchable. And not only that, you're then a magnet for the things that you do want in your life. And so this is really important to understand when we we get into why, like all these psychic protection things that a lot of people do. They're crafting spells and they're doing certain things in their home, but they're not doing the internal work. The internal work is what is going to be the longest standing protection that you have. And oftentimes we're missing that. And so this internal state affects your auric field vitality. So the thing to ask yourself when we're doing these chakra exercises, when we're doing the chakra meditations, is having that awareness. That awareness is that Shiva influence of what do we notice here? What do we feel here? What do we think about this? That allows us to feel is this in a state of contraction and restriction, or is it in a state of expansion and love? Is it fear or is it love? Those are all different ways that you can think about it. And as we feel into the expansion, it can feel like liberation. Okay, so that toroidal flow in your energy field impacts that psychic protection ability. Disturbances of the flow can be energetic attachments, unresolved traumas, limiting beliefs. That this is why it's important to work through those and not just spiritually bypass them and just be all in the love and light, right? We we've got to look at our stuff. Having the dark night of the souls are important, and there's ways that we can do these things that I absolutely love that that doesn't push you into this dark space. Like I think that's oftentimes what people are afraid of is that if I start uncovering these unresolved traumas, I'm going to fill in the blank. Like it's going to be hard, it's going to be devastating. I'm I'm going to be in bed for months or whatever it may be. And one of the things I love about Tantra is that we can breathe, move, and sound through the chakras, and it's a somatic experience. And as a somatic experience, you're not necessarily digging for anything. You're just going, there's something there. I'm feeling emotions. I'm going to let the emotions be alive in me, whether that is tears, whether that's rage, whether that is sadness, whether that's grief, like whatever, whatever emotion it is, you're just allowing and being aware of it and letting it move through you. You're letting it release. And so you can feel as you do these six exercises, where that stagnancy is, where the tension is, and coming into a place of recognition, okay, it's not really moving through my solar plexus right now. And as you continue to do these, this, the practices, they become easier and easier. And at times there will be emotional processing. And we don't necessarily need to figure out what that emotional expression was attached to. You don't necessarily need to figure out that there was an energetic cord there and it was related to this person. And you don't necessarily need to know the story. If the story becomes alive in you, you can recognize it, right? There's that Shiva awareness. And we're going to also honor the Shakti flow of like the energy is in motion. Energy in motion is emotion. Okay, so when we can allow the emotions to flow, they're going to help support the movement of energy throughout the entire chakra system and into your auric field.
Let Emotion Move Without The Story
SPEAKER_00So you don't have to be perfect. You don't need to have the optimal flow to deflect negative energy, but you do have to believe that you're worthy of it and have the confidence behind it. Like I know I'm a badass. I know that I'm on my journey. I know I'm on my path. I know I can accept all of who I am. This is who I am. I'm I'm sovereign. I have free will agency over my life. I have the availability to make choices for me. Those pieces are important.
She Who Rises Invitation And Wrap
SPEAKER_00I would love to share with you my upcoming She Who Rises course. She Who Rises is a three-month program that I've been developing. So there have been many variations of it. So I was teaching last fall with my partner in intro to Tantra class, where we just focused on sacred communication ceremonies, breath, sound, and movement, and how to create a sacred sex life. It was very much focused on those three keys of Tantra that we I went over in the slideshow presentation. And what I realized is like, I want to continue. He couldn't, he had to travel, he had other things going on. And I was like, I want to do a women's group because that's honestly a little bit more of my comfort zone. I love working with women. I have a background in women's health, like all of these things. And so I was in, I'm like, I'm gonna do a five-week master class and I want to get into our pleasure centers as women. What do we need to know when it comes to our bodies? What do we need to know on how do we as women expand our field? And really understanding some of the like emotional release exercises and how do we do yoni yoga and how do we like I was like, I'm just gonna put all my favorite things in um in this She Who Rises five-week masterclass. And after the five weeks, all of my uh participants, all my students in there was like, oh my God, Christine, that was so much and we love it, but we need more time to process everything that you just introduced to us. And so this was the first time ever I've taught in a class where every student was like, We need more time, create something that we can just come into. And so we extended it four weeks into something called She Who Speaks, where I would bring up the concepts that came up in class. We would have a um a discussion on the concepts, and then we would do a somatic practice for the the last bit of the class. So think this little breathwork exercise. I had many. And so I we did four weeks of She Who Speaks, where it was just discussions and somatic practice. And then I taught the intro to tantra class again with my partner. New people came in, and I've had more and more people in my world asking me recently about psychic protection. And I was like, well, this is it. This is what ultimately it comes down to. And so I I and I've had a lot of clients recently, ghosts, intrusive entities. Like I've had a string of them, and I haven't had a string of them in quite some time. I, this is one of my areas of expertise. And it's been a few years that I've had a concentration. So it's kind of usually a message got it, got it, got it. I I hear you. This is something that needs to come forward. And so I wanted to combine the intro to tantra, really focusing on breath, sound and movement with the women's wisdom that was coming through for me, with the psychic protection and understanding our energy flow, understanding chakras, understanding our field and why this is important. Well, thank you all for being here, and we will see you next time. Thanks, everyone. Thanks for tuning in to today's show. The Wisdom Rising Podcast is sponsored by Moonrising Shamanic Institute.
